Buchanan's Best Bistro — Restaurant in Mount Clemens

We moved to the Clinton Township/Mt. Clemens area just over a year ago and have been trying to find our go-to spots for food, recreational activities, and the like.

Buchanan’s Best Bistro is a new little spot that we visited as we were wanting to support local businesses and boost the economy in an area that is suffering from a recent bout of intrusive construction.

Not only were we immediately welcomed by smiling faces and warm demeanors, but the vibe of the atmosphere was right up our alley. It’s modern, yet cozy and down-to-earth. There are a few tables set up for dining-in at Buchanan’s and a nice counter to wait and chat while your food is being cooked fresh!

We ordered the corned beef, chopped Italian, and the chicken club as well as two bowls of the Hungarian hot pepper soup and a bowl of chili.

The meat in the sandwiches was not just moist but seasoned to perfection. The dressing was delectable and each bread choice for each sandwich was perfectly toasted/grilled. You also get a bag of chips with each sandwich!

The soup was absolutely to die for and I would go back JUST for the soup, alone. Everything we had was 10/10 and each person we met was nice, welcoming, and warm.

We cannot wait to return and bring friends so they can experience the mastery of Buchanan’s and geek...

What a wonderful experience we had eating dinner there today. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious, the restaurant is very clean, the bathrooms were extremely clean and the owners and staff are amazing! We actually showed up a half hour before closing and wasn’t rushed. Looks like a lot of carry out orders they do as well. They have a few tables and looks like they’re planning for more in the near future. For a new restaurant just opened not long ago, they have it together. What a pleasant place to eat at and the customer service is very desirable. We will definitely be looking forward to returning soon. Blackened Salmon Alfredo was top shelf and cooked to perfection and the red beans and rice soup was mouthwatering. Wife had the Slim Jim and was very impressed. Oh my word! This is a very nice family owned restaurant. The cheesecakes are out of this world good! We also got the salmon Alfredo and it was so flavorful! The chili was very very good.
