I was extremely disappointed. I hate to even write this review. I wouldn't normally unless it was just that bad and... it was. I'd heard really good things about this place. I was super excited to go and had wanted to go for quite some time. So, this past Saturday, two friends and I went when around 10PM. We were very prepared to have a good time; money in hand. It was so bad that after one drink and less than 1 hour, we all left, discussed all the things that were disappointing and why we wouldn't be back any time soon if at all. I wasn't upset with the close quarters. It's Saturday night in Antioch and it's a bar. Enough said. The problem was atmosphere. We were spoken rudely to by more than one of the customers. No matter how much we tried to move out of people's way, they were blatantly bumping in to us with no apologies. Customers at the bar wouldn't move enough to allow us enough room to order and the bartenders weren't noticing. Customers were literally facing away from the bar and staring us down. I can only assume the bartenders were too busy to notice 3 people standing there trying to get drinks. I've been to many clubs in and around Nashville. This was hands down the worst experience. I had to call up people I knew the next day and tell them what had taken place. Needless to say, they were shocked. I have gut feelings on what was taking place and it was very disappointing. So, we took our money down the road to another spot where the good time started as soon as we walked in the door. I don't know if this is a reflection on how the bar is run. Disappointing is the best thing I can possibly say and the...
Read moreWho knows where the storm even came from last week! Out of nowhere there was a torrential downpour. The kind you see in the movies, that wash men off boats and into the sea forever. My vehicle was rocking, not just from the soulful crooning of Clay Aiken blasting out of the speakers, but from the 50 MPH winds attacking my vehicle. Even with the wipers at their highest possible setting, visibility was at negative a million. Without warning, there was an impact followed by the airbag violently deploying. As much as I desperately wanted to call for help, my phone had been damaged on impact. After letting out a wail of agony, I began to crawl in the direction I believed would lead me to civilization. Across miles of pavement on my hands and knees, I finally reached this local watering hole. Exhausted and bleeding, I was greeted promptly by Cici. Sensing my distress, she immediately brought me an order of the catfish bites. My mood and optimism began an immediate upswing as I devoured the traditional cuisine. While I noshed, a pub trivia began. and I groggily joined in. Maybe it was the severe head trauma that accessed unknown parts of my brain, but I was able to end trivia victorious. The winnings covering my meal. As Cici reminded me, in a friendly tone, that I had arrived on my hands and knees, I summoned an Uber to take me home. I would have to find my wrecked vehicle...
