We loved the food, the restaurant, the service…. Our problem was with the Manager Abbie…. Celebrating a friend’s birthday who hates birthdays and is 2 years cancer free of breast cancer. Called ahead and made a reservation for 8-10…. We were seated when half of the party came per request by the manager Abbie…. 6 of us showed up for a random Tuesday night and they sat us. Half way through our meal Abbie comes to our table the MANAGER and asked us if the birthday girl was here and she was…. She informed us that next time we should tell the staff if not everyone was gonna show up… There were 4 other tables open as if we were a problem and made the birthday girl feel terrible for not everyone showing up…. One of the girls from our party who was there politely stepped away from the table and asked to speak with her and we didn’t even know but Abbie kicked her out! Then Abbie, the manager.. shows up to our table mid dinner and asks us if we need boxes or anything else?!? We asked where did our friend go and she said responded she asked her to LEAVE?!? The wait staff was more than apologetic and kind and helped us with cupcakes that we brought and tried to help us make the dinner special but Abbie’s behavior ruined that birthday dinner. Food was amazing and wait staff and hostess were great but manager can go to hell! We left a nice tip and heard the manager was leaving in June and said can’t come fast enough…. Also witnessed her being rude to an elderly couple as we were leaving…. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but management needs to...
Read morewe have been coming here for a very long time. We recently had a bad experience with serving my daughter seafood after we notified, by 2 different family members, of severe seafood allergy. There were other minor aggravations like no bread with pasta dishes and forgot the chicken on another dish. They also brought an extra seafood dish that we did not order. I was very very upset about the allergy risk. That could have been a trip to the hospital if my daughter was not paying attention before she dug into her salad. I was further infuriated that after the upsetting event we were charged an auto tip of 20% and a decent service charge for using a credit card. I still would've left a tip, but probably not 20%. After all of that, really didn't want to leave anything that night. I do not remember, after coming here for so long, bringing 3 adult children and sometimes son in law from time to time, sometimes only 4 or 5 of us, of ever having an auto tip of 20% because we are a family of 6. I do not think it is unusual to have 2 parents and 4 children, even if they are adult children. We all fit in one booth, not too uncomfortably either. I fully understand parties that are larger than 6 that require tables to be put together, etc.,...but a family of 6 should not be penalized. I think this establishment should reconsider what constitutes a large party and take into consideration families of 6 as "not so unusual". This is on top of a service charge for paying with a credit card (which I apparently never...
Read moreWent in tonight to get the Tuesday crawfish boil with some friends who have never tried crawfish before! Called ahead and the lady said she’d set up a reservation and go ahead and set aside 4 lbs of crawfish since I was making the reservation for 4 people around 7pm and they might run out. Once we got there I told the server, Maddy, that one of my friends is allergic and I wasn’t aware, so we’d probably only need 3 lbs? The manager, Abby, runs out saying that we “reserved” 4lbs, and that we were paying for 4lbs, and going to eat 4lbs. They were going to be open another hour and a half to sell the extra pound, but I was honestly so taken back by the way she was speaking to us. The worst tone and attitude. In all the restaurants I’ve worked in, managers were supposed to be the “resolvers” not the aggressor. Honestly extremely embarrassed, I said that was fine and we could just do all 4lbs (we basically were being forced?). The server was the sweetest girl ever apologizing for her manager (normally the other way around?). And the expo Sophia was very sweet. On top of that, we got half the amount of “fixings” (potatoes, corn, sausage) which were horrible, on the side because they ran out, which was really just the cherry on top. The server Maddy, and the random man that bought us green tea shots outside was the best thing...
