Man i hate to say this, and it is so unfortunate, but the overall value and service at Joeys has gone down tremendously. I used to go every friday and get lunch here and it was so good for so many years, then started to have issues with my orders and stopped going in for a while. I came in the other day to get a large #10 which is what i usually get and it came out to $17 without tip and it was missing ingredients. I have come to the conclusion that you absolutely CANNOT leave the restaurant before checking all of your sandwiches because there is a 90% chance they have made something wrong. They have a really bad habit of taking off extra ingredients when you ask to modify anything. I asked for no tomato and received no tomato, no cheese. Never asked for no cheese. Several of my co-workers wont go back in due to continued mistakes. I have made the mistake of leaving and going back to the office to eat only to realize my sandwich is missing 2 ingredients. It is super frustrating as this place used to be such a great lunch spot. I now drive by during lunch and see empty parking lots most of the time. Service and attentiveness have gone down tremendously and its truly sad to see. Also, $17 for a lunch sandwich that isnt overflowing with Roast Beef, had two slices of cheese(i had to go back in and get), wilted mixed greens, and mayo and onions on the side? Seems like highway robbery. I wont be going back again, its simply...
Read moreI did not know that Joey’s is now under new management (Curtis). I gave it another try a few days ago…and have been back the following three days straight! Their #10 Uncle Vinny’s Roast Beef ($14.99) is wonderful! Plenty of delicious rare roast beef on their signature divine loaf of Italian bread. Lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions. (The sandwich is really just a vehicle for their garlic mayo!)💜 I also had the tiramisu, which is a sweet-tooth’s dream. The next day, I got the #9 Muffuletta ($14.99), which is heavenly, if you’re a salted Italian meat person. Delicious salami and sopressata with provolone, greens and olive tapenade. (Also a vehicle to get the garlic mayo directly into my mouth.) I sampled their potato salad, pasta salad, black bean soup and amaretto cake…all were fantastic. My aunt had the Hot Caprese Panini ($12.99) and said it rocked. Service is great- all the folks who work there are rockstars (so friendly and kind)! They bring your food to the table. Outside porch is heated and screened in with plastic. Bathrooms are clean! So glad to have good Joey Tomatoes 🍅 back in business, and conveniently located on Chuck Dawley, right off...
Read moreWhat a wonderful little place!
We were looking for a healthy, quick lunch that was moderately priced- a break from the rich, fried food that we had eaten while in South Carolina.
The menu has wonderful sandwiches, salads and other Italian dishes. We ordered the roast beef sandwich and the caprese salad. The roast beef is made daily onsite so it was tender and delicious. The bread is brought in from New Jersey and it's GOOD!
The caprese salad had fresh spring lettuce, sweet tomatoes and home made mozzarella balls. The dressing was extremely flavorful.
When we were all done, I saw these gorgeous, large chocolate chip cookies sitting by the cash register. As with everything else, they were baked from scratch that morning. I had to have one, and I was NOT disappointed.
Highly recommend the food and the fabulous staff who prepared everything with high quality ingredients and lots of care.
Thanks for a...
