Food and beer is good. Main complaint is the beer menu. There's a digital menu (with numbers) on the wall that alternates pages every 15 seconds. There's a QR code on the physical menu that brings your to the online Untappd menu (without numbers). When we tried to order with the server from the Untappd menu from the QR code, but she said she only goes by numbers, not the names of the beers. Thankfully I had taken pictures of the digital wall menu beforehand, so I flipped back and forth on my phone between the 3 screens to try to order. The menus did not exactly match either, so it was a little annoying trying to order the flight of 4 beers. My boyfriend wanted to order a flight also, but to cut down on the time of the server staring at us as I'm trying to match the 2 menus, he just ordered one beer. BUT the food and beers were tasty. *Owner suggestion: update your QR code website on the physical menu to match the digital screen menu. OR just don't have the QR code at all. Especially if the servers are only taking orders by numbers.

I cannot rave more about how wonderful this place is! The Waiter was so kind and on top of it anticipating my needs and just so kind and accurate. The bartender was kind while a tasted a beer to see if I liked it first and when I said I loved it he waiter had it for me at the table before I even got back ! The recombination of the waiter was soooo good...I have the smothered steak sandwich. I will definitely be back...it has a big restaurant name / hometown feel at the same time. My friend and I were talking so much we didn't realize they closed 45 minutes ago and no-one was rude or rushed us out or anything. I can see this being my new favorite place and great beer selection! First time was a perfect flawless night which is a relief in this world sometimes. Thanks thank thanks. I have ptsd from war and sometimes isolate...I hadn't been out in soooo long and this place made me feel happy and glad I ventured out. Seriously thank you!

Right in Mt. Pleasant, The Filling Station is a nice restaurant with a lot to offer when it comes to food, seating options, and beer selection. The Filling Station has a pretty decent menu with appetizers, salads, and burgers, but they also have an entree list with a good variety of options from which to choose. The price was a little high but it was backed up with great service and a very good overall experience. The Filling Station offers seating inside at the bar on stools, high-top tables, dining tables for 2, 4, or 6, plus they offer seating outside under their covered patio. Parking can be a bit of an issue due to their small parking lot, however, there is nearby street parking that (depending on where you find it) could require a walk of a block. The Filling Station has a very nice on tap beer selection of local(ish) breweries, plus a wall of coolers.

sorry for the 2 stars, but our food tonight was disappointing, I usually get the burger witch are one of the best around, we started with the nachos they're delicious fresh avocado, plenty of salsa and sour cream, nicely done. I had the pork chop, which was to be a bone in chop, was not sure of what the cut I was served, it was small and looked like a boneless pork steak, the flavor was good and cooked nicely, The sides were mac and cheese, very tasteless, and highly processed and salty green beans from a can. I think you should be better than that . My friend had the Microscopic Salmon. just a sad portion. will stay with the burger next time, Great server, she was busy but on the ball, the hostess was the worst though, sarcastic to a lot of the customers, we were sitting by her, you should think twice about letting her greet customers. She could care less about her job its very evident the way she treated a few larger groups, If the one waitress did jump in and helped they would have walked out. sorry about that review but just wanted to vent, usually it's much...

I generally like to support local businesses. And will always give a good review. I just can't do it with The Filling Station. Tonight - a friend and myself went there to eat. When we arrived their was a wait. Ok no problem we got our number like normal and we stood there and waited. During this time a couple with young child walked in went right to the front of line. They got a number like the rest of us. 3 minutes later they were seated. Another group of three who came in after us also was seated before us, and it happened a third time. When I asked the hostess what she is doing, she didn't have a good answer for me. When I said we were here before those other groups she just walked away from me. What really makes this bad is the owner was right there monitoring this and didn't do a thing. So if you go here and there is a wait time expect to have groups to get seated in front of you. They did it without blinking an eye. Very POOR customer service. It will be a very long time before I support this establishment again. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE PRACTICE. ...

We were headed to a different restaurant after a tour at Polymath Park when we changed plans and headed here. Definitely a happy accident. Firstly, the service was phenomenal, given how busy they were. Our waitress (I think her name was Trish? - if I'm getting this wrong I am so sorry, because she was awesome) always made sure we had everything we wanted. The beer here is excellent! They've got TV monitors on the walls that scroll through all the many varieties available. Food was delicious. Started with buffalo tenders (which were massive - could be their own meal) nice and crispy with blue cheese dressing containing nice, big chunks of blue cheese. My wife had the Veg-Head Sandwich, and she said the portabella mushrooms were perfectly cooked. I had the Franco's Italian Army panini. Both sandwiches came with homemade potato chips, cooked fresh. Couldn't resist getting dessert - candied almond torte. We did not expect such a great place. Ended up skipping dinner because we were so full from lunch! Keep up...
