5 Stars – Outstanding Food, Service & Atmosphere
This was our first visit to The Tuscan Table & Tavern, and it absolutely lived up to the high praise we’d heard. From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere made it clear that a lot of care and thought went into creating this fairly new restaurant. According to our server Jessica, it had only been open a few months, but you’d never guess as it felt polished and welcoming.
We started with the Fried Green Tomato Fritti, which was crispy and flavorful, and both the wedding soup and tomato bisque with grilled cheese croutons were delicious and unique touches that really stood out. For our entrées, we ordered the Lasagna Bolognese and the Tuscan Chicken. Jessica recommended the Tuscan Chicken, and I’m so glad she did, it was absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, it’ll be hard to try anything else next time because that dish alone is worth the visit.
The lasagna was hearty and satisfying, and the bisque with those mini grilled cheese croutons, was both comforting and creative. Everything we tried was excellent.
The ambiance is also worth noting. We were seated in an area that felt like an outdoor porch, yet we were indoors, it was charming, cozy, and unlike most places. The service was equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
The restaurant is easy to find, set just off the road with clear signage. Parking is available in both the front and side of the building, with space for about 25 vehicles, which made access simple and convenient.
The Tuscan Table & Tavern delivers on every front: atmosphere, food, and service. It’s not your typical restaurant, it’s something special. I highly recommend a visit, and I personally can’t wait to return… even if I end up ordering the Tuscan...
Read moreWe thought about waiting just a little longer before trying the new Tuscany restaurant in Mount Pleasant but gave in because of their early success and fascinating menu items as well as many positive reviews by other diners. First, let me say that the new restaurant deco and facelift is just wonderful. It’s obvious the owners put a lot of time and effort into the interior design since we are very familiar how it appeared over the last 7 or 8 years under prior owners. But the main reason for this review is the fantastic service we received (by Christine) and the exceptional variety of menu items. The Tuscany’s menu is anything but boring. We were a group of four and ordered a variety of menu items and tasted each others. To just say fantastic would be an understatement. For those that dine out a lot, Tuscany provides a brilliant menu of delectables and not just the normal ho hum fare you might find elsewhere. We would ask Tuscany to continue experimenting with new dishes over time and continue the spirit of trying something different. Just don’t do what the other guys do please…
We also briefly mentioned our server, Christine. We believe that restaurant staff make up the final impression of any restaurant. Christine went above and beyond her duty to make us all feel at home. We so appreciated her as she helped make our evening a great success.
In conclusion, we will be back for sure, hoping to encounter yet some additional surprise menu items…..Best wishes to Tuscany...
Read moreMy friend and I went here Friday 05.16.25. I loved the bread and the salad although it could have used more dressing or at least I could have used some dressing on the side so I could decide how much to put on the salad myself. We both got chicken Alfredo. There didn’t seem to be any garlic or parsley or oregano in the sauce although it did taste okay to me, it just seemed like it was missing something. I love the noodles they give. The chicken seemed as if it was cooked in a strange way almost like they boiled it. It didn’t have a very good chicken flavor. It might have been better if they grilled it or cooked it in some kind of herb and oil or something. In fact my friend decided to just give up on eating his food. He expressed his disappointment in the dish and they offered to make him something else, but truthfully we had to leave so he could take his daughter to work. So we didn’t have time and he didn’t want anything else. The fries looked good I might go back to try them with the bison burger since I’ve never had a bison burger before. One last thing our waitress learned it was my birthday, but we didn’t receive any complementary dessert or anything. And I was a little surprised they charged my friend for his meals, considering he barely touched it. We’re hoping that this place gets a little better and although I would not get the chicken Alfredo again or recommend it to anyone; I do plan to go back and try some of the other...
