As a visitor from Charlotte, North Carolina, enjoying time with my parents at Isle of Palms, discovering Vicious Biscuit in Mount Pleasant was a delightful surprise. This restaurant boasts a beautiful, modern, and bright interior that immediately makes you feel welcome. The rustic wooden tables with iron legs add a charming touch to the contemporary decor. Despite being consistently busy, the staff manages to provide excellent service, ensuring every visit is enjoyable.
What excites me even more is knowing they have a location back in Charlotte, where I'm originally from. However, having one so close to the beach in Mount Pleasant is a real treat. The menu is impressive, but my favorite is the breakfast platter. As someone who loves a traditional breakfast, their eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes are outstanding – hot, fresh, and perfectly made. My wife, on the other hand, adores their in-house homemade biscuits, which come with two special types of butter: honey butter and maple bourbon butter. We both prefer the maple bourbon butter for its rich and unique flavor.
Vicious Biscuit isn't just about great food; it's about the whole experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant stands out, a testament to the care taken by the staff and owner. The lively atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a place you'll want to return to again and again. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place offers something special.
Incredible food, a welcoming environment, and top-notch service make Vicious Biscuit a must-visit. We will undoubtedly be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in Mount Pleasant. Kudos to the entire team for maintaining such...

Meh. Not worth the drive. Kind of gross / unhygienic.
Was excited for the menu and the option of a gluten free gf biscuit. Took wife and daughter from Sullivans island - it wasn’t worth the drive.
At 11 am the staff was burnt out / couldn’t care anymore - restaurant was full of people in line and un bussed tables. Food had fallen on the floor, staff would pick it up, then deliver our orders on the next return (yuck). Lots of dirty tables. Don’t think this would pass a health inspection, but nobody seemed to care.
Wife got regular Benedict, “these could be grocery store biscuits (Harris Teeter?) - nothing special.”
Daughter got walnut oatmeal - walnut oil had turned and was not good at all. Both were saved by the ‘butter bar’ which is new and noteworthy.
Got the ‘last’ GF biscuit - they do say these are first come first serve. However, it had a weird texture from however it had been reheated, and it had the funky GF after taste.
Bloody Mary was good.
Interior was packed as staff rolled about occasionally wiping down tables. There appeared to be a lot of apathy and fatigue. It’s clearly a local favorite - but it felt like it was based on a reputation that has long passed.
It was $60 for 3 breakfasts and a cocktail - not great value for money amidst a standard suburban street with a...
Read moreIm born and raised in CHS, spent 10 years working F&B across 5 different restaurants, and am completely fed up with the current charges that restaurants keep adding onto the bill. We've gone to VB since they opened. Ordered out during covid. But today, Mothers Day and also my birthday, it's pouring rain so we decide to take out. My wife makes the order on line and realizes that the biscuits we order are $4 and $5 more each as compared to when we eat there. Over 40+ percent surcharge. I'd have been inclined to have gone somewhere else cause, quite frankly, I just wanted a good meal, I wasn't looking to get screwed. Know there are costs for packaging take out, but not over 40 percent. By ordering takeout we're allowing the restaurant to maximize output on their limited seating foot print, not using the dish and glassware which costs for bussing and cleaning, and minimizing our vehicle presence in a limited parking footprint. Order out by loyal locals is what kept many restaurants open during covid. Come on VB, treat your customers better. Won't be going back, in store or online until pricing practices change. One thing I learned from growing up in CHS and my time in the restaurant business here, there are plenty of restaurants that want your business, and plenty of restaurant owners and managers that underestimate the importance of how they treat the locals. Who knows, maybe we'll get a Dairy Queen back on...
