Disappointing Experience with Service Dog Policy**

We've been frequent customers at The Wok in Mount Vernon, MO, visiting over 30 times. Due to my mobility issues, we often stay seated throughout our visits. Today, we were informed by the waitress that this would be the last time my service dog, Storm, would be allowed in the restaurant due to the owner's policy. She refused to provide this in writing.

Storm, my 7-year-old German Shepherd, has always been exceptionally well-behaved. Many people don’t even notice he's there until we leave.

"Under the ADA, state and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go."

We went here this evening to eat dinner. My husband and son had been working in the heat all day and was hoping to sit in a cool place and enjoy dinner. Instead the restaurant was VERY hot several us complained and we asked our waitress about turning on the fans or turning the air down. She informed us she would have to speak with the boss then came back to our table and said he didn't wanna do that cause the ceiling was holding more heat then where we was sitting 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ also when we arrived the buffet was not stocked yet they was in the process of making food so we was told. Staff was friendly and facility is clean. Food is average at best and I was shocked by the lack of options for a buffet. Don't go expecting a salad (lettuce, shredded cheese and ranch) or any of your Chinese buffet favorites. Extremely disappointing. Additionally, a lot of the items were empty when we went, and several items remaining were dried out and gross. The sushi is worse than gas station sushi and even the lo mein sucked.
