Moss Rose — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

Brought a friend to check out the sauerkraut balls and sliders, and did not disappoint! 😍 We came early, so plenty of time to ask questions about dishes on the menu.

Amazed (since we are meat eaters) at how much we loved the homemade veggie sliders. Great flavor and texture. They serve real mac & cheese, too. And the homemade Kentucky pie was so fabulous I could only get photo of an empty plate! 😉

Moss Rose has a fresh, local pub atmosphere with dart games, drink specials, trivia night, painting parties, and new patio coming soon. It's a nice place to hang out and catch up with friends or meet with colleagues for lunch.

Prices are fair and easy to mix and match what you want to nibble on...

An owner that cares about the drinks they make and the food they serve, all in a cool little tucked away tavern? Pretty much unheard of in a small town like this. All of the drinks I have had here taste like they are supposed to, and the food? You aren't supposed to get food this good unless it's an upscale restaurant (they have an actual chef). Thought I would try this place out since I heard good things. It used to be a real dive but under the new owners it’s real nice. Clean, really nice padio and the drinks are still cheap but so mich better. New bartenders are really on top of it. Great spot to chill and meet nice people. So much better then Rookies.
