Flappers Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

The service needs help. We have been there several times and my husband has been there a few times on his lunch hour on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all and he barely got his food and one time he didn't get it at all. He had to leave and go back to work. They felt bad and gave him a gift card to come back but when we did we got served later than people that came in after us and the food wasn't what we were used to at all. They said that the cook didn't get our order so that's why it was late which was the same excuse that my husband didn't get his food at lunch. Of the times that we were there and had these issues, Kane was not working. I feel I need to say that because it always seems to be fine when he is onboard and as a matter of fact, he was called in to help the last time we were there because they were so busy that I think they were overwhelmed by the crowd of people that turned up to listen to Luke Watson. He is really good. I promise you won't be disappointed if you go on a Thursday and listen to this young guy. He brings a great crowd and I hope that if you go you have great food an great...

Food was good but the bartenders/waitresses were not professional at all. Tried to humiliate my friend for taking a shot without ID then instead of just asking her to leave which would be understandable she made a absolutely huge scene. My friend is 20 and finished my shot. My boyfriend ordered the shots for me while I went to the bathroom because it took forever for anyone to come ask us if we needed anything. So when we went to pay the bill and leave after she was absolutely awful to my friend and the group I was with my boyfriend asked for his change back because why would we tip someone who wasn’t a good waitress to begin with then was absolutely awful to us over something very small when none of us were even the slightest bit rude about the situation but when he asked she basically told him he was not allowed to have his change back which is absolutely illegal. Mind you she didn’t even ID my boyfriend when he ordered the shots. She was absolutely an awful sad display of an adult especially someone who works in the service industry but I wouldn’t expect anything better from a joke of a place...

2/13/23 LUNCH TIME... I wouldn't question who I am, especially since we give you so much business EVERY DAY, and tip you . But since you asked today, yes I am with them, and have been, since 2008. Does that answer your question?? Who are you?? And if I want to taste the ranch dressing before deciding on a salad, as I did yesterday, don't let your eyes get stuck in your head as you roll them, or your hand hit the bar counter as it comes down any harder, at your obvious annoyance. But I guess I shouldn't expect anything more out of someone that calls people "weird" for the most basic customer service request. Maybe try to expand your vocabulary beyond your intelligence, but that would require some common sense. Everyone knows that salad dressing tastes different everywhere you go... or do you NOT eat salad??... I guess you're NOT a mindful eater... that's obvious... you're clearly NOT a mindful person. I will not eat anything from Flappers again, especially if you're there... I'm sure the owner will be obliged to know that his "server"??... or are you a "bartender"??... is chasing business...
