Oriental Hut — Restaurant in Mountain Grove

CAUTION TO ALL WHO GOES HERE....

My wife and I was wanting Chinese food so we came to Oriental Hut. Pulled into the drive-thru first thing I notice is this place looks like a abandoned building. No intercom OR MENU, just a shiny white lady high on METH working the drive-thru window. SHE was moving and twitching so fast it looked a hummingbird at a feeder. She told me if I wanted food fast I could only order off a tiny menu with like 3 choices everything else would take over 20 minutes to make. Irritated I ordered then as I went to pay she says sorry we only except CASH. Wounder why I did to so we drove off. Need better employees or I won't ever come...

This is certainly a unique place these days. No longer do they have a buffet nor do they have dining in. Everything is sold through their drive-thru window. They accept cash only. They do not have diet drinks other than water. Each day they have a few specials. They also have a very limited menu with additional items. I usually order one of the specials and I have never been disappointed. The general chicken is one of my favorites. The food I have received has always been hot and tastes freshly prepared. The prices on their specials are low compared to practically every place else. Maybe not having to deal with the dining room helps keep...

Time for an update. Unfortunately, it is not an improvement, much like their recent service. I haven't been in a few months and was in no mood for another low rate drive-thru burger, so I opted for cashew chicken, an egg roll and crab Rangoon. As always, I asked for extra green onions. The chicken was hot and crispy, but about a third of it was very dried out, almost jerky. Not the breading, the chicken. There were no onions on it. Not one piece of green anywhere.
