We finally decided to try this restaurant as multiple people have told us how good it is. Lets just say, we were not impressed in the least. I ordered the beef & broccoli & my husband ordered Shrimp & noodles. The egg drop soup that came with the meal had a very strange thickened, yet slimy quality to it, it was severely lacking in flavor. All of their sauces also had the same thick/slimey texture. The beef/ broccoli was nearly impossible for me to eat as the beef was very tough & consisted of a lot of gristle. I spent a large amount of time chewing the meat, only to then have to take the gristle out of my mouth The veggies were WAY to underdone. I think they were cooked less than a minute. I enjoy a crisp veggie, but these were nearly raw. There were multiple other veggies in the meal as well, so technically my meal should have been called "beef, brocoli, carrot, onion, zucchini etc". My husbands meal arrived full of onion (which he's allergic to). The menu did not say it contained onion, so he thought he was safe. He spent 1/2 of the time digging through the meal to remove the onion, & by the time he was able to eat, his food was cold. We both agreed that while the meal appealed to our eyes, tbe flavir just simply was not there. On tbe plus side, my dogs seemed to enjoy the leftovers, but for dog food, it was way to expensive. We will NOT be returning to this...
Read moreVisited this place in the middle of the week so this could have an effect on my review. Overall the place was clean and neat. Tried the buffet which is really small compared to other local places. I had a bit of everything as I enjoy Chinese food. Most dishes were tasty but also just warm. They have covers with portholes to get food and the warning lights only heat the back trays. Many of the offerings are vegetarian with only one beef dish and some chicken and pork choices. They also had sushi but only two choices. The egg rolls had a thick hard skin with little filling. Glad they were offered cut in half as they were too tough to enjoy. The egg foo young was interesting. Very small with no bean sprouts. Basically a small omelet. The soups were skinned over and looked old. Passed on that. There were a few dessert options and all was good. They seemed to clean constantly but was concerned when they sprayed the plastic food covers. They shouldn't spray anywhere near food. I did leave full but really only enjoyed a few items. Overall choices are small, food was either lukewarm or cold with some being inedible. They seem to care about your view on the food but they need to eat there themselves to see and taste what everyone else eats. This is a tough review for such a nice place. I hope management sees this and visits their competition in town and solves...
Read moreThis place was a huge disappointment! I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was no more than chicken strips with some sauce. It did not taste anything like sweet and sour sauce at all. The hot and sour soup was not hot or sour and tasted awful. My son ordered Egg Foo Yon and it was nasty. It was too "fluffy" there was so much breading that the 3 pieces resembled thick pancakes. Then they were covered in some type of gravy. The only good food was the fried chicken (same chicken strips) and waffle fries my youngest ordered. I did enjoy my lemonade but the rest honestly made me sick. This meal for us 4 was definitely not worth the $64 it cost!
In addition to the terrible food, the staff needs some training! Our waiter was rude! When he brought our drinks he brought my 6 year old son a large adult glass of sweet tea. He asked if it would be better if he put his drink in a to go cup. I said yes please. He kind of laughed and said, "yeah I can see that he will knock it over and I don't want to have to clean such a big mess.) Later when he came to take our order we explained that my 10 year old son (he didn't ask his age) was a vegetarian and was wondering if they had vegetarian egg rolls. He replied that my son was too young to be a vegetarian.
I rarely say this, but I will not return to this restaurant again. I suggest you stear clear of...
