The "Railsplitter" I believe it's called. It was like a $12 school lunch. Advertised as "smoked ham on toast topped with Ozark fries and smother with cheddar cheese". Interesting, let's give it a go. Comes with a salad & probably OK with a Stella Artois. The "salad" was the innards of a Taco Bell taco, IE shredded lettuce, some small diced underripened tomatoes...the Railsplitter was the worst entree I've ever seen in a restaurant. Processed folded lunch "meat" on a slice of bread, flavorless potato wedges topped with service station yellow goo. I dug through to taste the "smoked ham" took 2 bites & put it aside. 2 bites of salad put it aside. The Stella, hopefully enough to buzz me to a smile, had been stored improperly before cooling, rotten. 2 drinks & put aside. You've gotta tip waitresses because they work so hard, but that dish was like Long John Silvers bad. It also took 40 minutes to come, probably $1 & 60 seconds to assemble. Been wanting to go there for years, won't be back. The sign out front, fried cauliflower & pity from being overworked were highlights. I'd probably eat half that if I was in a drunken stupor. Burgers might be good...atmosphere is odd...dingy, broken up seating. Reminded me of a bowling alley cove. The back area would have potential if they re-opened from post-covid psychosis. It's been open since Mt. St. Helens blew, I'd be surprised if it lasted long as loyal patrons pass away/ are carted off to Baxter with turbo clots. They're hiring! Probably should look into new management, and an actual...

This place is behind the times food wise .They havn't updated the menu in 20 years. Its all fried and greasy food.Well it isn't really a restaurant. There is no cooking going on there. Most of it comes out of a bag from the freezer right into the fryer. The burgers are char grilled. They say that they are alright.I've had the salad its a joke with shredded (iceberg only ) lettuce , shaved ham ,and processed cheese..People who like salad would not order this salad ,but if you can't eat greasy fried stuff it is the best of the bad and the ONLY salad on the menu..WHERE is the fresh veggie platter w/ lo fat dip,or a nice greek salad w.feta and a grilled naked breast ? Oh well ?The service isn't that great either.but don't blame the girls that work there.I've known several of the ladies who have worked there .The owner/mgmt is not nice to the help ( from what i've heard) they overwork and underpay the girls. They used to have a pretty good pool hall in the back there but when the owner outlawed smoking ( in the separate pool hall way in the back) Everyone I know quit going there. That and the bad menu. That crabby lady should sell out to some fresh updated people who are customer orientated, and know how to offer some fresh new choices for...

The food was plain nasty. The beer battered onion rings tasted like old grease and they were so gross, not eatable. My husband had a chili burger and it was the nastiest food I have ever eaten it tasted ruined, 4 people taste tested my husbands food and it turned all of our stomachs. I tasted my son’s burger and it had no taste just grease. I had the chicken strip meal, the salad was room temp warm, salad is usually chilled, the chicken strips were also not good no taste and fried hard, I got a very small amount of fry’s and they didn’t taste done Frozen type gross. The jalapeno poppers cream cheese were not bad if you like lots of breading on them. Would I try this restaurant again No. the sodas and tea were great and the waitress was nice. And last but not least the ranch dressing looked kinda yellow and smelled soured, hopefully we do...

First off the staff 10/10 very friendly and nice. That being said I ordered the Mountain Greenery and the menu made it sound a lot appealing than it was lol. The salad was warm the ranch was yellow and tasted sour and the ham was chopped up lunch meat. It was disgusting and I'm seriously thinking about contacting the health department. My father in law got the chili burger and I tasted it and literally held back from puking and after that I did not eat the rest of my salad. It was that bad. Tried to talk with the manager or owner about it but got the feeling she didn't care to hear about how disgusting the food was. Definitely will not be going back. The soda and cheese sticks were ok tho.

We brought our dog to Mt Home for some socialization training (he's in service dog school). We found BF on Google as an outdoor venue, but the outdoor area was closed. So, they opened it for us. In fact, not only were they VERY sweet and the service excellent, but Cali went the extra mile - even asking about seasoning on Scout's burger patty, because they season with garlic. I'm BIG on customer service - and I was wow'd by Back Forty! My food was very good, too - icing on the cake!
