Just tried out Momos and OMG, the food was phenomenal! Service was great. Got greeted with a Nameste, and we never found the bottom of our glasses. I had the Chicken Karuma and it was so creamy and had a hint of sweetness and very flavorful. Bf had the chicken curry and it was seasoned great, he even said he preferred it over Dusits Curry. The chicken in both dishes were so tender that the chicken could be cut with a spoon. The prices are a lil high but the quantity of the food matches. The garlic Naan was by far our favorite with both dishes. I highly recommend others try it if they wanna get out of comfort zone. They have food for even the picky kids and LOTS of options for vegetarians. One exotic bit is that they have lamb and goat. I'll have to try it at one point but we stuffed outself so much and could only eat half. We got so curious we even ordered dessert to take home. It helped to research a lil about some of the dishes before coming but it was a great experience.
One thing I found a lil lacking was the atmosphere, they started to play music when we got done but I would have loved to see more Indian decor, I absolutely love Indian tapestries and wouldn't mind seeing them, or possibly spending a lil extra to buy one myself from them. Their culture is filled with so much color and I would love to see it...
Read moreThe atmosphere may not look like much, but this restaurant is a hidden gem. It's quiet and the staff have always been so pleasant and helpful, especially with suggestion. Believe me the servers get just as excited about the food. Every sauce and every dish is unique and warm and comforting for the soul. It's so wonderful to have a unique cultural culinary experience in little ol' Mtn home Arkansas. We love the Kheer which is creamy, lightly sweet, and a gentle warmth of spices that add the perfect finish to your favorite Indian dish. Even a lunch chat of Masala Tea and cold Kheer would be a perfect chance to chat with your best gal pals. We haven't found a dish that wasn't exciting as we share across the table as family or friends. Do not miss an opportunity to try the dumplings, you'll want the 10 piece I promise. Their lamb is so tender. I love it in the Biryani, it so comforting even when I don't feel well. The curry is warm and loaded with cozy flavor. The momo sauce is unforgettable. The Tikka for when you want more kick. Please spread the word so we can keep this treasure...
Read moreIndian food is by far one of my favorite ethnic foods, but unfortunately I was disappointed with Momo's & Grill. As far as spices there were plenty, maybe too much because whenever you do order at a geniune Indian restaurant you are always asked what level of heat/spice you prefer. This was not done at Momo's. So every dish had the same spice level. The Garlic naan was the worse I've ever tasted, bland and no flavor. The naan sold in stores tastes better. The Vegetable Biryani, was also poor. There were very few vegetables and items in the Biryani that looked like meat, which we did not ask for, but was so burnt (black) we couldn't figure out what they were. The Lamb Tikka Masala was ok, some pieces were tough. The steamed vegetable Momo was ok as well. Overall we were very disappointed and definitely won't return. Staff was nice, but there should be a better ethnic presence that understands the quality of...
