This has been a regular stop for over 10 years on the way home from Flaming Gorge, but it's really gone downhill. It's a poorly maintained dive with s-l-o-w service and is way over priced ($9.50 for a Chicken Basket with Fries, $7.50 for a double cheeseburger and $3.50 more to make it a combo w/ fries and a drink) but traditions die hard and the food is ok; nothing special but ok. The last time we went, 8/12/17, there were 3 tables with people already eating and the 2 young women at the register told us it would be a 30-60 minute wait. We were obviously tourists coming home from the Gorge. I asked why, and they told the 5 of us they were catching up on orders. It was 3:30 in the afternoon and the drive up was empty. Then they told us the bowling alley across the street was just as good. We hadn't even made it out the door when the girls erupted with laughter. I'd much rather not eat there if they didn't want to serve us, so they did us a favor I guess. Heaven knows what they do to your food if they don't feel charitable enough to just send you packing. So if you aren't a local, eat somewhere, anywhere, else. The Pizza Hut next to the Maverick gas station treated us good, was cheaper, and got us eating just as fast, but there are a couple other options too if you didn't eat in Evanston and can't wait till you...
Read moreWe came here twice in one week. On Monday, and again on Saturday. In early afternoon both days. On Monday we had a 5 star experience. We dined in. Ordered two burgers, 3 fries, a corn dog, and a drink. We only waited about 10-15 minutes for our order to come out. The fresh fries were crispy and delicious. On Saturday the experience was not at great. We ordered through the drive thru. We ordered 2 burger combos, a kids meal, and a shake. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out, and there was only one vehicle in line in front of us. And, the fries were soggy. The super long wait in the drive thru is the reason for 3 stars instead of 5. It added 40 extra minutes to our drive home to the salt lake valley. I could've cooked burgers and fries in my travel trailer in less time. If you're on a tight schedule road trip, might consider going to the subway or maverick to save time and money. Not sure why the weekend made such a difference in service time, because it didn't seem any more busy than the Monday did. Also, I think we paid less money to order the combos on Saturday than we did for the individual...
Read morePlace is hit-or-miss with sometimes it being amazing all-the-way-'round and other times being lackluster at best.
One night the employees will be helpful and attentive and our order will be perfect and delicious! The next time (or 2, or 3...) it's the complete opposite, which is too bad because on their "good" days the place is amazing and the food delicious! Unfortunately, their "bad" days combines with an understandable increase in prices make the odds too much of a gamble and I often wonder if the only reason the restaurant had managed to survived this long is because of the very few options for eating out in the area.
Consistency and good service would make all the difference in the overall quality of...
