A unique visual experience with lack luster courses makes for a below average experience. The included juice drink was overly sugary and too sweet. The crustini's were stale or soggy. The music was abnoxiously loud which was augmented by the poor quality audio system. The system popped, crackeled and was clipping the entire show. Very shrill and harsh on the ears. The dining utensils were cheap with lots of plastic. They were also a little dirty (visibly spotty). The overall food quality was sub par. Worst was the lettuce course. The geens were not washed well and dirt (soil) was clearly visible. Not just one piece but nearly all of the leafs that were presented. Keep in mind you will spent at least $450 for 2. 22% tip. The value received was disproportionate to the cost. The menu needs to be dramatically elevated to command such cost. While the service was very good, the entire experience equated to a cash grab. I ate again after I got home. My advice would be to pass or skip on 7 Paintings. It's just not worth it. Owner - No need to post how sorry you are for a lack luster evening. There are plenty of reviews from others who shared the same disappointment. I could not imagine bringing a client, friends or work colleagues for this experience. I do not recommend, the value is...

The Ameswell Hotel is already a beautiful place to hang out but 7 Paintings took it to a whole other level. It’s not just dinner it’s a full-on show with art music lights and interactive moments that completely pulled me in
Each course was inspired by a famous artist like Van Gogh Warhol and Picasso and the way the food was presented matched the vibe of the artwork. It was super creative and honestly really fun. The quiz, the painting with food. The beef carpaccio and “vegetable experience” was really cool. Main dishes were simple but with a surprising garnish or sauce that made the evening a constant enjoyment!
The whole thing lasted a couple hours but it flew by. The pacing was great and there was always something happening that kept us engaged. It’s perfect for a date night or if you just want to do something totally different and memorable
Highly recommend this. Worth...
Read moreAwful! There are much better restaurants and art experiences out there for a much lower price.
The music was too loud (I literally wore ear plugs the entire time), the animations and voice overs looked like they were from a 2005 kid's museum, and the food was just bad.
The first dish was a stale tomato crostini. Next, the sea bass tasted bland and overcooked. The beef was grainy and also overcooked. The "painting" experience entailed dipping raw lettuce in basic sauces. Their creme brulee wasn't set. The final cake was a dry slice of sponge cake with sugar paper on it. Overall really disappointing.
The one decent dish was the beef carpaccio, but the bread had gotten soggy. Also, the service was nice, but I did wonder the whole time if the staff were secretly laughing that people would pay for this.
If I had paid $25 for this, I would have given it a 3 stars, but for 10x the price, this...
