I'm local to Mountain View, so I 100% support small and local businesses that keep the Bay Area unique. Nothing against franchises, but I love that they have super good quality and unique options here at Tea Annie and that they are a local, small biz. The Tea Quality here is excellent and rivals Chicha San Chen. Not to overhype anything, but I'm a tea connoisseur having tried so many different types in Taiwan and China.
My go-to is the White Grape Oolong, They have a lot of the tea leaves on display on the front. The kiosk ordering is also convenient. The staff really knows their stuff and there are some seats, so it's a nice ambience overall. It's a friendly neighborhood tea shop. It's one of the only tea shops in this area, so that is a plus for them. Parking is a breeze in the Safeway...

If you don't want your drink to be overly sweet, however, ask for 25% (or less) sweet. The only thing I'd change is if perhaps the milk tea was a little stronger on the tea side of things.
I'd happily go back!
P.S. If you're gluten-free, they don't really have any options. If gluten isn't a limitation, it looks like they have a nice selection of crepes...
Read moreThis place is such a hidden gem! I originally came in because I was looking for a place with Rooibos milk tea. Their version is excellent (at 50% sugar or less), and they also have a lot of other interesting teas, like Four Seasons Jadeite (deep, vanilla-flower flavor), Roasted Sencha, several different oolong varieties, etc.
They also have a sampling table, where you can smell some of the teas!
Such a better experience than a lot of the popular bubble tea...
