Wine & Design — Local services in Los Altos

Wine & Design was a fun experience with an extremely friendly team of staff. Unfortunately, our experience may have been tainted from past wine/painting places we've been to. Perhaps we set our expectations improperly - we were prepared for a more step-by-step approach with helpful coaching of techniques, color mixing, brush use, etc. Also, we paid for a 2 hour session, but once we were seated and ready to go, we were informed the event would be cut by more than 30 min.

I feel that for a first timer who has never done something like this before, for those who want to have a fun time with friends without needing/wanting painting guidance or help, or for those who already know how to paint, this is a perfect option! However, for those who would like to learn from instructor guidance, have a bit more time to work on their painting, and get the full value of what they've paid for, I would recommend elsewhere.

My team at Google organized an team event with ~30 people in total. We enjoyed our time here at the store! We booked the whole place and have partnered well with them in planning ahead for selecting activities (we picked both wood art and painting), ordering food and drinks (snacks, cold platters, alcohol and non alcohol drinks). I recommend the cupcake there! It’s not overly sweet but really rich taste. During the event, the owner and employees organized things well with us. We have one group doing painting downstairs and another one doing wood art upstairs. They made sure we all had enough support for the activity and it’s really a team social and meditation during the design activity. They also helped to convert some value we’ve already paid to their store credit, when we had a few last minute no show. Thanks for the flexibility! It was a really fun experience! Highly recommend for team building or personal gathering...

Came here on a Saturday night and we were the only 2 in the class but it was still an amazing experience - it was a private class in the end!

Good: Everything was prepared when we got there, and we just needed to put on some art aprons and we had all the brushes and paints in front of us Tami was a great teacher and super fun! I enjoyed getting guidance on how to make the painting better and she gave us tips on blending paints too We got rose with our painting and it came out immediately so it was easy to sip and paint Our paintings turned out great in the end! I was pleasantly surprised by the final result and was happy with the progress from start to finish

Bad: The studio was pretty empty so it felt a little sad that we were the only ones

Overall this was a great date experience and I'd recommend to others looking for something slightly different than their usual date night activity....
