Read moreI coworker and I stopped in for lunch one day. I ordered their lunch special which was two slices of pizza with whatever toppings you wanted on it, your choice of house or Caesar salad and a drink. Can't remember exactly how much it was, I want to say it was like $12 or $13. The staff taking the order for super friendly and helpful going through their menu and giving us helpful information like the fact that their pizza saves really well if we weren't able to finish it and wanted to eat it a few hours later. It was quite a bit of food for the price I paid and I made it through my house salad which was amazing. Cheese tomato croutons over fresh lettuce packed into a box, not fluffed in there but I mean packed in there. I saved my pizza for when I got home later and it was just as good. Though I didn't stay long I enjoyed that they had covered and uncovered outdoor seating in the shade of some trees with a big flat screen TV set up to enjoy near the covered area. Looked like they had quite a few beers on tap and quite a few options on their menu to choose from. Their pizza was top quality their service was fantastic and if I'm in that area I will definitely go there again. The place was super clean too. I say Sorelli Pizza is great place to go check out and if you live in the area make it your frequent...
Read moreThe good - the focaccia bread was good, the main dish was good, the nonalcoholic ginger beer and water I had were great, the s’mores gelato was amazing, the bartender Raina helped me feel welcome over time and was patient with me, and the people who worked there were pleasant.
The bad - The restaurant felt off because:
The music didn’t seem to go with the Northwestern & Italian theme they had going (it was American music) which made the restaurant “clash”. I heard good things about this place but Sorellas actually wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.
The balsamic vinegar was too strong. The main dish, although good, was too oily for me and since I have acid reflux, it was hard to deal with.
The ugly - I don’t know if was because I was unshaven but everyone around me seemed smug. No one smiled or seemed to want to acknowledge me when I looked at them (at least not at me, except the workers), everyone was spaced apart (except those who knew each other), and the environment seemed uninviting. I had on clean clothes but my shoes were dirty. The only person that tried to make me feel comfortable was Reina the bartender. There was another worker I interacted with, and he was polite and...
