I’ve given this restaurant several chances and been disappointed every time. The onions in the French onion soup are crispy and caustic. The broth is slightly spicy, full of flavor, however…every flavor but beef. You’ll be spending $12 for 15-25 grams of fried cheese with some OKAY pesto and oxidized pine nuts. The calamari was chewy, chewier then Olive Garden but the breading is very good. The filet has been consistent, I’ve had it four time and it’s been good every time. The mashed potatoes that come with it are whole redskin potatoes, over mashed and gummy. If you like thick, gummy, skin filled mashed potatoes then you’re in for a treat. The crab cakes are either good or terrible. The caesar salad is served with marinaded anchovies instead of canned, they’re fishy as the sea. Pick them out and you’ll enjoy the salad, the dressing itself is good. I would say however the mixed drinks are good, I recommend the black Manhattan. I’d personally only come for a drink if it weren’t for family events. If you’re not picky and don’t have the best of taste this is an excellent place for family get togethers and dinner dates. If you’re looking for good food and not just some bougie atmosphere then I’d recommend not coming here.

My wife and I came here for her birthday last week. She had been but it was my first time. The restaurant has a very open layout, we were seated right away since we had a reservation. Our waitress informed us there were no specials this Sunday night but we both saw quite a few options on the menu. (Pic below). The calamari was very flavorful. All the dishes had excellent flavors (that you would not of originally thought…they were more Asian inspired flavors ). The Scallops and Angel Hair was very good, and I loved the sauce made to go with the dish. My wife loved her Chilean Sea-bass. We got a complimentary bananas foster for dessert. It was good. Overall it was a very nice dinner and the few cocktails we had before dinner came were Good too! The only reason for a 4/5 stars on atmosphere for my take was because the overall restaurant size is very small. Therefore, if you are looking for larger table space, etc then you’ll probably have to request that upon making your reservations.

This is a very solid lunch and dinner spot. Prices and menu reflect the quality food ad service. The food arrives in a decent time frame, though I have been to many places that had much quicker service during the early (1PM) afternoon. They serve only one flavor of cappuccino; plain, but is a very good choice. I selected the biscuits and gravy so as to round out our party's choices from the brunch menu. I found the biscuit a little on the dry side; even accompanied by gravy and over easy eggs. The eggs were warm (I prefer hot), but the flavors all blended well for a really good meal. The brunch menu is sufficient and everyone agreed that the servings were ample. I didn't indulge in the brunch drinks, but the menu is great. Additionally, dessert doesn't disappoint. I had the bananas foster Napoleon. It was fantastic! Good food; Good service; nice place for brunch.

Apparently our money wasn't good enough. We have some friends in town and wanted to treat them to a nice brunch. We noticed on their restaurant website that they recommended reservations. They open at 11, so we started calling their restaurant at 9 AM. We tried several times to get through and no answers. There, also, wasn't an online option for making reservations. We showed up as soon as they opened and requested a table. We noticed they barely had any customers and plenty of large tables were empty. They informed us they won't seat us without a reservation. We asked them how could we make a reservation when no one in their restaurant was answering the phone. They informed us that none of their wait staff even showed up until 10 minutes ago. So... No one comes in to prep the kitchen? What about their management team? Instead of providing some answers, their very rude hostess walked away. I'm very disappointed because my boyfriend and I had had a previous good experience at Bistro 19. We didn't expect to be treated like garbage today.

I wouldn't have been angry if their staff and politely informed us that they already had their tables reserved for other clients. I wouldn't have been angry if their website stated reservations were mandatory. Instead, we were talked down to and given no explanations why they wouldn't seat paying clients in a mostly empty restaurant. None of us were wearing offensive clothing or tattoos. We were all clean and dressed nicely. I can't think of any reasonable explanation (barring outlandish things like prejudice, since our group was of mixed race and we had a disabled individual - and I definitely hope this wasn't the case) why any restaurant would turn us away if they had...

We ordered the 8oz Filet Mignon, the Short Rib Tortellini, and the Bananas Foster Napoleon.

The steak was cooked well and the mashed potatoes and asparagus were great, a little on the salty side, but very good.

The Short Rib Tortellini, not so much. First it comes out WITHOUT any short rib meat. After tasting it and digging through it to make sure we weren't missing it, I flagged down our waitress and alerted her. She apologized and rushed it back to the kitchen. When it came back it had the meat, which was so noticeable we don't know how the kitchen missed it the first time, but also a new dusting of the already overdone porcini powder.

The Bananas Foster Napoleon was stale, dry, and the bananas were not caramelized, they were OLD, like what you would use for banana bread or muffins. Brown and disintegrating. The pastry was so tough, the entire dessert oozed over our plate when trying to get the first fork full.

The service also left much to be desired. We were checked on once outside of having to flag down the waitress for the tortellini mixup and when she did bring back the tortellini, she forgot to bring back the silverware and we had to wait five minutes for her to make rounds again so we could ask her for it. She also spilled a Chocolate Martini on our table while serving, apologized, but then never wiped it up leaving a very sticky mess on the table.

And after all of this, nothing was comped and the waitress had an attitude.

I would not recommend Bistro 19. In fact, I recommend you...

Was sent here to pick up a DoorDash order, and arrived within 10 minutes of accepting. Upon arrival, was told by employee/manager the order had been an hour late, and the customer had picked it up so I don’t need to deliver it, and that they would cancel it through their system. I went back to my car and waited 10 minutes. When I went back to tell them they didn’t cancel it, the person who I suppose was the manager proceeded to ignore me. Not satisfied at all with the way I was treated. In response to owner's response:

What you said is half true, you left out important details. When I arrived, you immediately had exasperation in your tone when I told you whose order I had. This attitude did not change when I explained how I was the second driver who promptly accepted and arrived, after the order had been reassigned to me. You told me you would cancel the order from your end, so I went back to my car and waited 10 minutes. When I called back to tell you the order was not cancelled, you told me angrily, "We will cancel it." and then hung up. Upon another 10 minutes of waiting, I came back to the store and asked once again. Your response was to ignore me and wipe down tables instead. Is anything I said incorrect ? This incident cost me ~an hour of work time. Why would you say you would cancel the order from your end if you had no...
