The owners of this establishment are asleep at the wheel, off the road, with the vehicle on fire, and bodies and bodies strewn across it. This is the worst McDonald's I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. No matter how many times I give this place a try they disappoint 4 out of 5 times. I know McDonald's sure you don't expect much from minimum wage teenagers but the level of service this place sinks to is a new experience even amongst several of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I would suggest if you have any other option you absolutely avoid this place at all costs. Here are some experiences, told literally.
I went for breakfast sandwiches for the family. I'll admit the wife's a picky eater but nothing so supremely difficult I should have to take 3 trips back in to get it right. Steak egg and cheese bagel, no sauce, extra cheese. Trip 1 - Steak egg and sauce bagel, no cheese, no extra cheese. Trip 2 - Steak egg and single piece of cheese bagel, no sauce. Trip 3 - Steak egg and extra cheese bagel smothered in sauce. It took 4 attempts to get that right, with my infant in and out of the car with me screaming his head off the third time I had to go back in.
Some teenage girl who constantly mans the mic and has absolutely no business whatsoever dealing with the public because of her lack of professionalism and overwhelming attitude berated me for not telling them that I meant 2 hash browns when I said "super size my breakfast meals." I typically keep my cool but fired off at her for being unable to count when I told her, that not telling her that didn't account for the other 3 hashbrowns I was supposed to get before even supersizing with the expectation of an extra hashbrown.
They now have some Asian girl working the mic who has an extremely poor attitude and responds to every item ordered with "is that it?" I realize it's hard to use big words and sentences like "will that be all today?" but saying under your breath "oh my God!?" at me in a condescending tone when I tell you I have more to order the third time you've just blurted out my total as if I was finished ordering without asking me if there's anything else I wanted, even in the shady bar "is that it?" question format is too rude to deal with.
Overall this is a poorly run, poorly staffed, poor delivery, low professionalism, stain on the local businesses and I really think it should be taken from the owner and restaffed with at least moderately polite staff. I would not recommend this place to anyone that was willing to drive to any other McDonald's restaurants in a 5...
Read moreMy wife is Deaf and went in to get us a meal on her way home around an hour ago. She ordered at the kiosk as interacting with employees is not always the smoothest experience. The kiosk did not print a receipt or order number, so my wife went up to the counter to get help from an employee. Unfortunately she was unable to catch the worker’s name as he didn’t have a name tag. He was a white, thin man in his 20s with a beard and possibly glasses. My wife made a gesture indicating she was Deaf, and held out her phone with a typed message explaining the situation.
Instead of typing back, writing on a piece of paper, or doing anything a respectful human being would do, he proceeded to get angry with my wife!?? He had a hat on and was constantly looking back down at the screen, obscuring his lips and looking back up, all the while having a rude attitude and refusing to accommodate my wife’s very basic, easy needs. How hard is it to write or text!?!? No, instead you are going to force her to struggle to read your lips through your beard, head tilting, and bad attitude?! And force her to voice back!? It is INFURIATING to me that ANYONE should deprive my wife of her preferred method of communication. It is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE that an employee would be so up their own * that they would refuse to write or text with my wife, ESPECIALLY when it requires ZERO effort on your employee’s behalf. Absolutely disgraceful.
Reading lips is not a natural ability all Deaf people magically acquire. It is a skill that has to be practiced regularly and for a majority of the Deaf community (including my wife) who utilize ASL, lip reading is not a preferred or effective method of communication. Besides the fact that below 30% of a language is communicated on the lips, lip reading can be difficult because the speaker; speaks quickly, mumbles, has an accent, has facial hair, doesn’t keep consistent eye contact, etc.
Shockingly, this in-depth explanation on lip reading ordinarily isn’t necessary. Somehow 99% of the time my wife gestures that she’s Deaf, and has a phone with a pre-typed message, the person knows to write or text...
Read moreMy friend who is deaf had an awful experience with one of the employees here. She ordered at the kiosk and it didn’t print out a receipt or order number, so she wrote a message on her phone explaining the situation, and showed it to a white, thin employee with a beard. Instead of communicating back to her via writing/texting, this employee proceeded to get angry with my friend and just assumed she could read his lips. He easily could have written a reply but instead chose to humiliate my friend by forcing her to speak verbally. I was able to pull the following statement from the official McDonalds website: “…at McDonald's we are committed to meeting the needs of all our customers and embracing diversity and sharing best practice with our employees is of the utmost importance to us.” This statement is clearly not true and the employees need training on how to communicate with hearing impaired customers. But seriously, how hard is it to write a reply down on your phone or a piece of...
