Acapulco Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Muncie

The food was so bland that it had no flavor. Has a child always extremely poor and food was scarce. So when I say I've eaten dog food that tastes better than that I can tell you it's being truthful. I've actually had cardboard that had more flavor. The only thing that was actually pretty good was the salsa and that was it. My brother's burrito is supposed to be California burrito they charged him pretty much $3 for cheese sauce I should have been with the burrito and barely any cheese sauce. He only had two shrimp in it but should have had more. My other friend ordered their burger with fries and they didn't even put all the stuff on the burger that she has for. The fries were cold even she said her Burger had no flavor. I have no idea how this restaurant is getting business if their food has no flavor I'm thinking people's taste buds are being deceived or tricked or something. Cuz my experience with them and the food was just horrible. I've heard all the stories about authentic Mexican food but if this is the way the food really is I can guarantee you I won't be no more. I am good faith could not recommend this restaurant to anybody. I had the dirty dozen and I can tell you that I think mud would probably taste better. The sauce that they gave with it was like two different sauces wrong with green and one was like a red they both were so horrible that it was like chewing on 4-month-old dirty socks. I can't stress enough on how the food literally had no flavor of any kind. Food is supposed to have its own natural flavor but the fact that this stuff literally had no flavor says something about this food. I spent nearly $100 on three people I can tell you I could have taken that money when elsewhere for cheaper and had way better food. They make their chips in the morning time so if you order past 6 PM, the chips are gonna be super hard and chewy. And if you ask for fresh ones they’ll get personally offended. The guy took the bags of chips from us, ate one, and still tried to act like they weren’t completely hard. These chips were not just a little stale, they were HARD. He then said “they all taste like that” yet we did end up getting new bags of chips and they are NOWHERE NEAR as hard as the first bags of chips. We have ordered here many times and never have we ever gotten chips that were practically rock hard, which is why we went in to try to fix the problem because we figured it was the last of the batch and maybe they didn’t realize the chips were that hard. We were completely respectful the entire time yet the kitchen staff treated us like we were being outrageous. If they were a little stale, trust us we would not have wasted our time coming back to argue with anyone, we could’ve dealt with chips that were a little stale and cold. These chips were truly hard, cold, and chewy and arguing with us that “they all taste like that” when our new bags do NOT taste like that is insane. Me and my gf came in at about 7:00 at night . We only came so late because it was a last minute decision we sat down and ordered all was going well till we ordered the chimi banana and the fried platter the chimi tasted good but was falsely advertised to be bigger. There was two small bananas instead of 4 the menu claimed it had. Also we got the dessert first which was odd. Usually you get it after your Main course. We got the platter and I noticed that I asked them to substitute the 4 small hot dogs for more wings we only got 2 extra wings. It should've been 4. I thought it was no big deal but they obviously should've had 4 along with the other 4 I had ordered. Anyway I get to eating the fried platter and noticed it was burnt and also the oil had a bad taste. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was outside for 30 minutes smoking. When she finally came back around to fill our drinks I was about to walk out and not pay it was ridiculous but regardless we still tipped and took the food home ever since I ate that food I've had violent diarrhea everything but the fried food seemed okay but I'd still rather take my business...
