Move in day for our son at BSU. We headed out to eat around 11 am. Restaurant was not busy when we were seated.....Friday 8.20.21. We placed our order and it took about 50 minutes for our food to come....we were told that a VP placed a huge carry out order just before ours and that is what was taking so long. This is the second time this has happened ....the first time we were the only 2 people in the place and it still took forever. Our waitress was great ....stayed on top of our table and kept us well informed about the delay with our order which we appreciated. Although I have to say I could see the cooks from where we were sitting and there was absolutely no sense of urgency behind the counter. Moved like tortoises. The food once it finally made it to the table was HORRIBLE. I ordered the chop chop salad....it was supposed to have chopped.lettuce ...bacon....egg and cheese. The lettuce was an iceberg mix poured out of a bag no doubt....i.could taste the preservatives of the pre treated lettuce....I never did find any egg on the salad and about 2 tiny pieces of bacon and cheese. I also found a large piece of lettuce core on my plate and had to ask for more lettuce. The house dressing taste bad....as in old bad....so I asked.for ranch instead. My husband ordered the veggie burger which he said he'd never get again. Since we've had to endure the long waits....the not so great food ....and the over priced bill at the end....we will not be back. No discount was offered for the long wait...it's a college town so they expect kids not to know any better and they still get the money out of them. It makes sense to me now why the other restaurants were so busy and this one wasn't. I DO NOT...
Read moreMyself and a friend visited Brothers while in town seeing a comedy show at Ball St. After the show, we chose Brothers for the drink options and late night food menu. Upon arrival around 9pm, the restaurant was fairly empty with only around 7-8 groups of no more than 4 people. There were 2 bartenders behind the bar, 2 cooks I could see in the kitchen, as well as at least 5 other employees in Brothers attire. The taller of the two bartenders was completely occupied with who I assume were friends of his, as he did not look at nor spoke to or helped any other patrons sitting at the bar. The other bartender wore glasses and a yellow hat and although he was able to get me one drink and a menu, he promptly disappeared to somewhere else in the restaurant and was only seen again later as I was leaving. After looking over the menu and observing the staff milling about the restaurant, it became clear that not a single employee in the restaurant at that time had the attentiveness to customers that they should have. My friend and I chose to leave then, but not before I waited 20 minutes at the bar just to close my tab. I got the opportunity to speak with another patron who also expressed frustration about the poor service. No doubt the majority of this staff was college aged, but that doesn’t excuse the complete lack of basic customer service skills that were displayed during the small amount of time I wasted in this establishment. If that little care was given to the customers, I wasn’t going to chance eating food that may be shown...
Read moreMy best friend came in from out of town and we were looking to have a fun night out. Being that it was a Monday, all the surrounding bars had closed early, so Brothers it was. As we entered, we noticed that there was karaoke being sung, so I decided what the heck, and put a song in. Our server was friendly, and got our drinks in a timely manner. I got up to sing my song and directly afterword, a man comes behind me saying “Guys, you’re not aloud to do any more “screamo”. It’s not the vibe we want here.” I preceded to tell the man that we’re just looking to have some fun, so what if my song had distorted guitars and some screaming. He wasnt jiving with that. He told me that he was the manager, but this man was DRUNK. A drunk manager was telling me that the karaoke song selection was limited from now on. Annoyed, I shook my head and told him I was going to put another song in. He pushed passed me, and told the karaoke guy I was not allowed to sing “screamo” 🤣 The silliness of the situation ended though when a security guard asked what my deal was, threatening to kick me out, stating “we can ban people for any reason”. The argument with both children lasted longer than it needed to, over a karaoke song selection. We payed our tab and left. From the friends looking to go out and have a good time, thanks for ruining our night. We had a lot more...
