Pita Pit — Restaurant in Muncie

Edit: I was impressed the owner reached out to us, I didn’t even know if anyone read these things! According to his employees when my husband and I went back tonight, Randy truly cares about everyone’s experience and takes these reviews seriously. I do appreciate and respect that! Randy wasn’t there when we went in, but his employees were aware of the situation and who I was and took great care of us! Tonight we received the excellent customer service we’ve always received at pita pit! We’re going to be so sad if they don’t stay open!! Thank you for taking care of us Randy and pita pit team!

My husband and I have always had great experiences here, but today was just awful and we’re sad this is the note we’re ending on as the Muncie location may be closing. We love that you get to special order each pita with the veggies and sauces (much like you do at subway), but today as we were ordering we were informed they were just too busy to let us do that and the gentleman taking our order very much rushed us into telling him what we wanted and stated, Look man there’s a lot of orders ahead of you. There was one couple waiting at a nearby table and another couple who ordered in front of us. I don’t know how many online orders they had, but the store itself was actually quiet so I was confused because I’ve never been told I can’t order my food the way I want it in this store before. I settled for just removing the horseradish sauce from the Dagwood and my husband took a moment because again, he always puts his order together at the veggie bar. The gentleman again prompted to rush us along and my husband asked for his Dagwood with just lettuce and cheese. As our pitas were being made my husband and I contemplated the poor customer service we just received and I almost spoke up because we were both made to feel uncomfortable, but we decided to let it go and just take our food to go. My husband did remark he was just there Friday with a coworker and it was completely packed and they all got to order their pitas as usual so he didn’t understand why we were being rushed this way. We got home to eat to find out my husband’s pita had no lettuce or cheese as requested and then we really wished we did speak up, and in fact we both said we wish we just said forget it the minute we became uncomfortable. It wasn’t worth the money to not get exactly what we want, have a wrong order, and be given poor customer service. Amazing food that always brought me back from the dead. Had a bad experience one night; called and got a pita delivered, gave out my cc info and was read back to me. Five hours later when they opened up I got a call saying they needed my card number again. I know they had it the first time as they read it back, they wrote it down and lost it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! the 2 girls working there definitely didn't want to be there. i came in on a weekday night when it was relatively empty and being a first timer i didn't know how the whole thing worked-its like a mediterranean subway but some toppings are extra while others are included in the pita u pick, was kinda confusing....they didn't bother to help at all and kind of scoffed when i was taking my time picking out the toppings, but one thing they were excited about was pushing a punch card, like i would ever come back to this place smh......its very overpriced! like so so so much! i could make this at home, will not return even if you...
