I had a fantastic dining experience! As a picky eater, I’m quite particular about my rice and beans, and I must say, they were exceptional! I ordered a torta filled with just avocado, lettuce, and beans, keeping my preferences in mind. Initially, I hesitated to try the milanesa torta because my last experience at Fat Rosie’s was disappointing, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it—it was hearty and satisfying! My mother opted for the Mojarra, a fried fish dish suitable for Lent, which wasn’t listed on the menu. I recommend updating the menu to highlight this delicious option, as she thoroughly enjoyed it. And let me not forget to mention the handmade tortillas—they were absolutely delightful! The service was outstanding as well! Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in on us regularly and offering to bring additional salsas or adjust the temperature by closing the door. I noticed a steady stream of customers coming in for takeout, which speaks volumes about their popularity. If they had more space for dining, I can only imagine how bustling it would be! Considering they’ve only been in business for five months, attracting so many customers is quite an achievement. I hope they continue to grow and find a larger location with more seating options!

They have lengua and tripe tacos! And menudo on Thursday (through the weekend)! The tacos actually tasted like the meat, it wasn't overly seasoned. The lengua was very tender. The tripas was crunchy and lovely, almost like eating chicharones. When ordering she asked what doneness and I didn't specify but it came crunchy, now I know I like crunchy tripas. For the soup, you get 32 oz. My menudo was still piping hot when I got home 15 min later. The container had almost half tripe bits, super generous portions. Most of the tripas were cut into neat 1x1" cubes , they were really tender and easy to eat. The soup was seasoned very well. I think the tortillas that came with the soup might have been homemade, they were excellent, even reheated. It also came with chopped onions, cilantro limes and dried oregano. When picking up, she gave me a choice of mild it spicy sauce, the mild green one was very refreshing. (I know better than to order spicy are a Mexican joint). There's only a couple tables and some counter seating, so it might be easier for just take out. My food was ready when specified. I also spied a taco truck in the back, it seems they cater too. Fantastic little joint that's not a chain, give them a try!

A quaint little local spot for delicious over stuffed tacos. I saw someone else mention it's more expensive. That is so untrue. Tacos are $3. Most places are $3.50 and charge for extras. Bonus points for having Topo Chico. Just a few tables but get it to go if there's no room. No biggie! Definitely will be back. The wait staff were super friendly and helpful. Even the clientele were really easy going. Get some tacos, you won't regret it. I want to add it's vegan friendly. (Veggie tacos)
