Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a Baskin Robbins with a drive thru. They didn’t have those in Cali! I’ve always walked in the store though so I can’t speak to their wait time if you opt for the drive thru.

This location seems to be busy quite often. I’ve stopped by multiple times and it’s hit or miss if theirs a bunch of families occupying the tables or not.

Service is ok. You can definitely tell that the employees aren’t too thrilled about working there. I don’t blame them because it’s just an ice cream shop but it wouldn’t kill them to put on a smile or act a bit more friendly. A few of them are just bleh when it comes to their customer service.

I usually order a milkshake which is always made perfectly. I’ve also ordered a cake for my sons birthday and their sundae before. No real complaints but I did notice the icing on my sons cake wasn’t leveled correctly and looked a little sloppy. Overall not really a big deal though.

Pulled up to the drive through to order at 9:20pm and was greeted with "Welcome to Baskin Robbins. I'll be with you in a minute. " We sat for a minimum of 7-8 minutes and no one ever came back to take our order. I put the car in reverse, backed up and pulled back up to the box where we were instantly greeted and our order taken. We then pulled up to the window where we sat for at least 5 minutes before anyone approached the window. We watched 2 female workers chat it up inside while we sat and waited. A girl came to the window and said what did you order again. I repeated the order, she closed the window and didn't come back for another several minutes. She finally came back to collect payment and give us the order. You would have thought we ordered the works...we just ordered one simple order...2 scoops of peanut butter 'n chocolate... nothing else. Absolutely insane it took us that long to get something so simple. Murfreesboro has much better ice cream places where you get good service AND...

The employees are usually nice but they now weigh the ice cream right in front of your face. I just think it’s unorthodox to weigh a scoop of ice cream in front of someone. It comes off as being beyond frugal. The one girl was literally struggling to use the scale so she was clicking the button over and over trying to weigh the ice cream. It’s just odd to me.

By the way, I lived in DC before moving here and only the gourmet ice cream shops in Washington, DC would weigh ice cream (the shops where you pay $8 per scoop). Not Baskin Robbins. Again, the employees are nice but I won’t be back because of my...
