I was really TORN on what to rate this place for 2 reasons... For 1, I visited them twice in a week, while the 1st visit I was serviced by an older lady that told me she was the general manager, customer service was GREAT and the food was SOOOOOO GOOD!!! She did tell me they were hiring and she was just overall friendly, I mean she was telling me the days that they have huge crowds and it was a great place to chill... I had the catfish plate and did I say it was the BOMB!!! Needless to say I visited again the very next day... This time I ordered a 10 piece wings, all flats, and a fry... Well the cashier was very nonchalant and I guess she was trying to intimidate me... And I really truely think she is the one responding to the reviews on here and Facebook. Nevertheless, her customer service is off... She rung me up for a whole combo and when I told her I didn't order a drink she told me I asked for fries but the menu shows a side is $2 extra and a side and drink is $3.50 extra but she didn't seem to care that she over charged me... She was walking around drinking the frozen alcohol beverages and stated she do it everyday 7 days a week... Aw ok... Then she disappeared from the counter and never came back... The young lady whom appeared to be the cook brought out 3 different orders and set them on the counter... Another customer got tired of waiting for someone to come and give us the food so she walked up and grabbed hers and left... With COVID still going on it shouldn't have happened this way... They were not crowded... Just know 1 bad apple can make a business go downhill... She waited til I placed my order and told me wings went up $.25 PER wing and when I asked her why she didn't tell me that at 1st to give me a chance to decide if I want it or not, she told me it's on the front door... What customer reads all the signage on the front door? Then when I stated its not what the menu states she tells me they got time and feel like changing the menus... She was not pleasant at all... I believe she may be some kin to the owners or something because she wouldn't be running my place like this...
*Edit: They don't do sides after 9p.m (That's 2 HOURS before they close!!! I REALLY wanted to believe in this place...And im taking a star BACK because NOW I've just been informed if you make a call in order and don't give them your card number over the phone, they won't fix your food til you get there... Don't yall know how many scams and thefts going on??!!! Business loss because never will I ever again...
Then I went anyway and the girl with the long braids from Memphis is nice but she is not friendly (if that makes since...) And she bussed a table, put the things in the trash using her hand with NO gloves and handed me my food!!! Yea this DEFINITELY...
Read morePLEASE READ & save yourself the time of going here!!! My family and I visited this spot on Saturday 4/8 first impression was good. We sat down and what seemed to be the manager (bald guy) came over and waited on us but first after apologizing to us for having to wait a few minutes which was impressive. He took our drink orders, brought them to us & advised the waitress would be right with us, no problem right? So first impression was great. We ordered daiquiris and they were very good and strong. The reason I am rating them 1star and would give them zero if I could is solely because of the poor ownership in particular the owner (light skin guy with glasses). I verified with the manager that this guy was the owner before making that assumption and he assured me he was. It took our food over 45 mins to come out (keep in mind this is for fish and pre made side items) which doesn’t take 45 min but I didn’t make a fuss because I understood they were busy for a Saturday evening and only two front house people and the chef doing to go orders and sit down orders. At some point the owner decided to assist his staff when he saw them getting slammed. When the food finally came out 45 min later, they only made 2 of our 3 orders. What made it awful was the owner brought our food to our table slammed it down and proceeded to walk away w/o ever apologizing for the delay or even asking if we needed anything…. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I spoke up as he was walking away to request condiments in which he told me they didn’t come with the plates but if we wanted some we could request them from our server!!! Never offered to bring them back as a owner. No wonder this business is lacking help, the ownership speaks for itself. Who would want to work for such a arrogant individual? My question to self was why should I ask her when you are helping her? But, I didn’t say anything. The waitress was swamped and busy he obviously stepped in to help so help. Don’t bring food and then go back in the kitchen and hide. He was the most rude, arrogant, a-hole I think I have ever came in contact with. After 2 of us eating all our food my BF food still hadn’t shown up and we still waited patiently. Finally We asked our server what was up w/ his food and come to find out she never actually put his order in. Once again, never an apology, never an explanation, never a concern. Absolutely nothing at this point from the owner or the manager. Tried to give this place a try to support black owned business but yeah, never again! Food is good, drinks were better but service and especially ownership TRASH!!! I feel sorry for the young lady that helped us I hope she finds employment elsewhere where she can work with owners that are...
Read moreI have been here a few times because the food is A1, however the service leaves more than to be desired. Forget calling/coming in to correct it either. My partner works in Nashville and I thought it would be nice to give them one last try & surprise him with a good meal. MISTAKE. When I arrived at his job (I live four minutes away from here so it was a commute) and we opened our to-go orders my spicy cabbage was missing and we got two orders of regular honey gold when i ordered one regular and one spicy, so I called in, yet again, naturally. The older woman at the front counter (Gwenn) told me they were out of it and replaced it with a different side, but when I attempted to explain that it also wasn’t included in my meal she spoke over me and told me, “I don’t want no confrontation with you!” Ma’am, neither do I, I just want to know how y’all were planning to remedy the situation and it’s baffling that she got so defensive when I was merely explaining why I was upset that I’d been charged extra and was missing things. Terrible service EVERY time and it’s beyond disappointing because the food is so good. I drove back from Nashville to Murfreesboro for her to tell me Jojo (whoever that is) wouldn’t replace the meal they messed up, but I could come back at 7 pm when he’d be in (I placed my order around 1) but that unless I saved the food, he wouldn’t do anything, to which I replied I tossed it, because everything in my meal was wrong and i drove from Murfreesboro to Nashville and back, all as I watched customers serve themselves from the bar! She was the only one on staff (as she made VERY clear) and the patrons at the bar laughed at me being upset because she chose to bad mouth me on her way to the kitchen to fix their mistake! “I ain’t got time today and they definitely don’t pay me to!” “Oh that poor lady, homegirl at the front big mad!” “Get that lady a drink!” To which I very much agreed, “Yes I’m mad! They messed up my whole order and I drove to Nashville to find out for her to tell me they REFUSE to fix it.” I made sure they understood why, being that my entire meal was wrong and she told me they weren’t going to fix it. She then came back to the register and messed up orders AS SHE TOOK THEM! “no I never said green beans,” I overhead a customer say MULTIPLE times.
