Panera Bread — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

On 0ct 20, 2021 at 430 I was craving food. I decide to order Panerai bread. I set my order to be picked up at 830. I received an email stating my food was ready for pick up at 847pm. I arrived at Panerai at 852 pm to pick up my food. I was greeted by a nice young lady mopping the floors. I told her I was her to pick up an order. At the same time a older man came out from the back unaware I was there and said. "If anybody comes in tell them we are closed". The did not close for another 8 minutes. He walked around the corner and was surprised to see me. I explained I would like my order and he said " well I don't know what happened to it. I made it myself. He looked at me and said very rude and unprofessional, well the kitchen is already cleaned and I don't have any chicken. So I don't know what I can do for you. The best I can do is give you a refund." The older man in the Grey shirt was so rude and unprofessional during the entire ordeal. He never apologized for my lost order and kept stating someone must have taken my food. At that point I had just put in a 12 hour shift at the hospital and was starving. I had no choice at thatpoint to agreed to the refund and left angry and very hungry. I will definitely not be back and will be letting the nursing staff know of...

So I am at this location roughly 3-5 nights a week for my wife and I. I must say though that we were ecstatic to get this location up by us and at first was pretty good. However...at just about every visit here the bread with the meal has been over baked and the whole outside of the bread like a rock. On 4 separate instances everything we ordered had major issues. Every time I make an order I double check my order and since I take it to go I usually just skim through to check that everything is there, including the rock bread, so unless I take the sandwiches or soups out of the bag after they bag it for me I don’t know how those are until I get home. Sometimes stuff is thrown together and messy other times just severely lacking on the toppings. For paying what they charge for a deli sandwich I expect a lot better. This whole store needs to retrained...oh and yes profanity and messing around in the kitchen stopped. I’m sure that’s contributing to the lack in quality food I expect from Panera bread. Take a trip to the Brentwood location...never see an issue there with my food,...

Panera offers an abundance of overpriced food that never fails to fall short of expectations. They also boast a wide range of drinks to choose from. The coffees and teas, for example, vary wildly in quality despite their consistently outrageous prices. Although I've met someone who swears by their coffee, it tastes like stagnant pond water whenever I order it.

The Charged Lemonades used to carry Panera, but ever since they removed them from the menu, I can't possibly justify paying the Sips Club subscription. Although the new fountain drinks (Citrus Punch and Lavender Lemonade, to name a few) do taste pleasant, the lack of caffeine is disappointing.

If you're looking for coffee, tea, or caffeinated juice-based beverages, just go to Starbucks instead. Yeah, you'll go bankrupt either way, but at least Starbucks tastes good.

On the other hand, If you're looking for sandwiches, soups, or salads, just go to Newks. Again, it'll be overpriced at both restaurants, but at least if you avoid Panera, the food...
