I visited on Wednesday 7/9/25 with my 3 and 1 year olds. This place COULD be so great if they put a little more effort into order and maintenance. To start, there was a sign on the window stating the water features were out of order. I asked the girl what that meant and she said the dump bucket wasn’t running and I asked her if the little kids slide was working as that’s the whole reason we went. She said yes. Well that’s not entirely true, the slide was open for use yes, but since the water was not working the kids had to slide down a DRY water slide and rely on their swimsuits to give them momentum, let’s just say it didn’t give them momentum. All the kids had to scoot their butts down the slide making the line back way up and a long line/doggy pile of kids at the bottom. The little kids here were just running rampant, parents not monitoring or just not caring. I had TWO DIFFERENT boys at different occasions PUSH my kid and I had to go tell them to keep their hands to themselves. I’m sorry I am here vigilantly watching my toddlers, I should not have to be parenting other peoples toddlers too. This one boy actually started BEATING his cousin or brother and another parent had to physically stop him all while the mom is obliviously yapping to her girlfriend 20 feet away. Sometimes there was a lifeguard by the kids area and sometimes there wasn’t but when there was, they did nothing to try to bring order to the chaos at the kid slide. The only time they ever intervened was when big kids tried to go down the slides which I did appreciate. We ate before coming but did grab a snack at the end of our visit. The nachos would have been very tasty if the chips weren’t stale. The strawberry lemonade icee was okay. The boys at the snack register were polite and efficient. Sadly, the best part about the place was the bathroom. I only visited the family bathroom, it was very large, clean, and well maintained. If only the rest of the park...
Read moreWanted to give a shout-out to 2 lifeguards and the concession people... The male lifeguard who saved a girl today in the 12ft. Area of Boro Beach. I've never actually seen a lifeguard have to jump in, but my son and I were both so impressed with his quick thinking/acting. After seeing that, I felt much safer allowing my kids in the pool. When your kids outnumber you, it can be really nerve-wracking to take them to a large, crowded pool. But the lifeguards today were top notch, and I didn't have panic if I took my eyes off of one to watch one of the others. 2. Also wanted to give a shout out to the male lifeguard who was dancing and having the best time! You can tell he is a great person, life of the party, but he was always scanning the water while enjoying himself. I even caught him making one of the female lifeguards smile and dance/sing along to Taylor Swift. You've gotta love those extroverted people that bring us introverts out of our shells. At one point, he was in the water at the bottom of the slide dancing away, and I just know the kids would love to see that when they got to the bottom, especially if they were scared/nervous of those giant slides. You've gotta have a little fun at work every now and then! I have no idea who these kids are, but as a mom, I am so appreciative of great employees like this, to look after my children and their safety. I'll just say it- they both deserve a raise :) Lastly, the people working the concessions were so friendly and attentive, not to mention FAST! Ive been to another public pool, and the girls working the counter were too busy laughing at people and being rude. It was nice to see courteous employees helping people today. Sportscom, you've won my business, because you clearly hire some great people, and that makes us want...
Read moreIf I could rate this business a 0 stars I would. I went with 6 children and my mother in law. We paid $44 and as we were walking through the gate the lifeguard blew a whistle and they closed the pool because of the weather. I walked over to the counter and asked for my money back and the lady said sorry no refunds. Now, I had 6 children that just saw a water park and didn't even get to get their feet wet. We had literally just paid and walked away! She told me to talk to the superintendent, but conveniently he had disappeared for the day and was nowhere to be found. They were still selling tickets to people even though the pool was closed in hopes in wpuld reopen. We stuck around for a whole hour waiting on Bart (the superintendent) he never showed and they still had no reopened the pool. Needless to say, they will never get my business again. I would have been more than willing to understand the no refund policy if I had been there 30 minutes and the weather got bad, but for me to have just paid the woman he her look at me and say sorry no refunds, that is bad business. What is sad is that this was the second chance I had given this place because just two weeks ago I tried taking my two older children 7 and 9 years old and my newborn baby (4 weeks old) and I were going to sit and watch my older 2 swim, but they tried charging me $7 for me and $5 for my 4 week old baby to sit and watch. Nope sorry, I went to Patterson Park pool. They will continue to be our...
