Farmers Almanac was absolutely delicious... even though we were over an hour late getting to the store and getting the pizza it was still hot or at least hotter than we expected it to be by the time we got it compared with the time it was actually ready & were supposed to have been there for it... There was 1 thing that did take us off guard: the lady who took our order over the phone asked if we wanted the Anchovies &/or the Jalapeños that are included on the Farmers Almanac pizza... The FA pizza is our favorite pizza other than the King's Feast so between us & all of our friends & family we have ordered it at least 50 times or more over the past 12 yrs or longer & we have never been asked if we wanted either Anchovies or Jalapeños ANY time we've ordered it & we never got either ingredient on our FA's any of these times either so we were, needless to say, never even aware of the FA pizza, if made as it was meant to be made, is supposed to be made with ABSOLUTELY EVERY MEAT & VEGETABLE INGREDIENT available on a pizza "normally &/or most commonly" including the Anchovies & Jalapeños... so just to let everyone know if you ever have the Farmers Almanac pizza at any of the Sir Pizza locations in Murfreesboro then be prepared to get it with Anchovies & Jalapeños unless the person taking your order asks if you want them, or not, or you remember to ask for the pizza with or without the less common ingredients that most people don't usually ask for at least not most people that we know anyway lol... Which, I assume, is the most logical reason why we have never been asked this question before but have also never actually gotten either Anchovies or Jalapeños on any of the FA's that we have ordered til this visit where since she asked us we opted to get the Jalapeños on half of the pizza for the man who LOVES SPICY FOODS (it's not good enough unless he's sweating from the level of spiciness lol) but being sure the woman who doesn't care for even the smallest amount of spiciness & the little girl who has been trying all the spicy stuff her dad has ate since she was a toddler can all 3 enjoy their #1 favorite pizza from their #1 FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE even more than they ever did before (now that it had the Jalapeños bringing their unique flavor & a little spicy kick making it closest to how it was originally meant to taste)... we have never at any time tried Anchovies on a Pizza so we are going to try it out at least once & see how the Farmers Almanac pizza was intended to taste from the 1st concept of how the FA pizza would taste with ABSOLUTELY ALL THE INGREDIENTS on it... it makes me curious if it will be as delicious with everything it's supposed to have on it as it is how we've always had it, without the Anchovies & Jalapeños, or being that it's already our favorite pizza could it possibly be even better than it has been all these yrs (even for people who don't like Anchovies or, like me, afraid to try them) I guess we'll have to wait & see how it is...
Read moreNew to the Murfreesboro area and was excited to see something other then the normal chain's you see elsewhere. Husband placed a to go order as I was headed home from Nashville, and was given a estimated ready time of 20 minutes, which was perfect. However, when I arrived about 30 minutes later my order was still not ready. Was another 10-15 minutes before it was. No big deal, was not really in a hurry so waited around. While I was there I checked out the buffet, or what they consider to be a buffet. There were only two pizza choices, which I guess make sense, since there was only 4 people eating the buffet (around 5:30 pm on a Tuesday). The salad bar did look clean and really fresh, but that was about the only thing that did look clean. The pasta offering they had, I suppose was spaghetti and meatballs, but was so unappetizing that I would not have dared to try it. The Kitchen staff did not seem to have any sense of urgency. As I was waiting I could hear the guys in the back laughing and joking, and I don't think that there is anything wrong with having fun while at work, but they seemed to be working at a leisurely pace, even though there were several orders waiting. So got the food ( I ordered lasagna, hubby had a pasta dish) and took it home. It wasn't bad, but the portion size for the price was on the high side, not outrageous, but not in line with the quantity or quality of the food. Did not try their pizza, so can't comment on that, but would not order pasta...
Read moreDefinitely not anywhere to write home about. Everything is pre made so nothing us exactly fresh. My mom got a small pizza and it came on this nasty cardboard, the pizza is thin and the cheese was gross and all stuck to the cardboard. Walmart brand frozen pizzas are better than the quailty of "pizza" here. Service was not good as well. Waitress kept on forgetting EVERYTHING and literally came back several times to just remember what our drinks were before even getting them because she was too busy talking and messing around with another co-worker. The buffet takes FOREVER to get anything out and you'll be waiting half an hour for anything new to be re stocked. My potato wedges that came with my sandwich (which was lacking and very mushy) had some ice cold wedges amoung very hot ones. Over priced and definitely not worth the over $30 we paid for very very mediocre food. If you want pizza I recommend going somewhere else or just buying frozen pizzas from your nearest store as they are a better quality than what this "chain" pizza restaurant offers. Not gonna...
