Our server, Krishna, was slow and curt in getting to our table. I was with my 81 year old mother and another 80 year old friend. They had asked to move to a booth instead of the table that we were assigned. Krishna waited a long time to take our drink order and asked about our fourth person. One of us explained that we only had three and then she asked why we had four menus? We had no answer since we didnāt get the menus. The lunch proceeded in this same manner. My mother asked for more regular creamer and much later, Krishna brought somewhere around 20 creamers and rolled them in from in front of her. Krishna made us feel like we were an inconvenience. While we were waiting for our checks, two of us clearly needed to-go boxes, and she brought one. We had an additional friend come sit with us while we were finishing our lunch, since her party had to leave and she chose to come over to our table. Krishna was extremely rude to her, apparently had this same guest at a different table and grilled her about her payment at the other table, immediately went to the register to check and verify her answer. This is also an 80 year old woman who just paid for all three of the people at her table prior to coming to ours. She did ask for more water. My mother did get her to go box and we waited for another 10 minutes for our checks. When she didnāt bring our checks, but was at the booth behind us, the fourth lady that joined us at our table signaled Krishna that we needed our checks, and Krishna said she was taking an order and it would be a minute, then she walked away from the table she was taking orders and away from our table. At that time the same person from our table said āMISS!ā When Krishna returned to our table she attempted to explain that our check had already been closed out and that these checks would actually be cheaper than what we ordered. Short of it is that a different table paid our check and we were now paying theirs. When I spoke with the manager, a guy, donāt know his name, and explained the situation, he said that I was very rude towards Krishna. I had not said a word other than when she was giving the wrong checks and mine said Sand/Soup, I tried to explain that I didnāt have that order. We were all trying to understand why our checks were so late and for the wrong table. The manager said he heard it all, people make mistakes, and we paid less than what our food cost. No apology, nothing. I then asked the manager about the table that over paid due to paying our bill, and he said that is not something I need to be concerned with. I then said, āSo this could happen to us if we came back, paying for someone elseās check. He rationalized it because we paid less then we were originally suppose to. It left me and the three other women in our group scratching our heads. I did try to post this on the First Watch feedback website but the submit button...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited First Watch on March 30th for a birthday breakfast with friends. I had heard great things and was genuinely looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, my visit left me feeling deeply disappointed and dehumanized.
Upon arrival, I clearly explained to the host that I use a wheelchair and needed a standard table not a booth as I cannot access booths. I always make this clear at any restaurant because I, like anyone else, deserve to enjoy a meal comfortably and with dignity.
After waiting about 25 minutes, we were finally called to be seated only to be led directly to a booth. Not only was it completely inaccessible to me, but the way we were rushed and how the menus were tossed onto the table made the moment feel dismissive. I couldnāt even catch up to the host to ask the obvious question: āHow do you expect me to sit here?ā
Rather than make a scene, and out of consideration for my friends who had already waited with me, I chose to awkwardly sit at the edge of the table. I was uncomfortable the entire meal, straining to eat while clearly not seated properly. This could have been addressed with a bit of awareness, care, and communication but unfortunately, none were offered. Our server didnāt make the experience any more welcoming or considerate either.
Accessibility should never be an afterthought. I didnāt want special treatment, I just wanted a seat that I could use and the same hospitality anyone else would expect.
I truly hope this review helps bring awareness to the importance of listening, being attentive, and treating all guests with the respect and accommodation they deserve. A little thoughtfulness can make a huge difference like asking the right follow-up questions, double-checking seating arrangements, or simply slowing down to make sure someoneās needs are...

My family and I tried it for our first time today and we were all impressed. Make sure you arrive early because they get busy! We had a 30 minute wait for a party of 4 around 10am. Next time weāll make sure to come earlier and hopefully beat the crowd.
We all had good things to say about the food though. Our party shared the bacon and cheese cornbread. SOOO delicious! Very light and airy with just the right amount of bacon and cheese. I got the classic eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy, my husband ordered the Chickichanga. Both of us liked our dishes! I will say that the hollandaise sauce on mine was a bit too lemony though. But I did really like the biscuit and gravy. The potatoes I got with my main dish were nice and crispy too.
Our waitress may have been spread thin with how busy they were but she did take a bit to come around initially to take our order. They also completely missed the sauce for my husbandās Chickichanga dish and our waitress was nowhere to be found for quite some time so we had to flag down a different waitress for assistance. Then when it came time to get the check we waited for a bit. But again, they were busy since it was a weekend morning so that was likely the cause. Hopefully next time it wonāt be as bad.
Canāt wait to come back and try more of...
