Playa Bowls — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

It took over 15 min to make what i thought was a simple smoothie. I had a hair appt 2 min down the road and i was late. Thought i had plenty of time. The people that ordered after me got their food first. Then they got told about rewards program and I wasn't. She was too busy cutting bananas instead of helping the guy with my order. And when I got it, it tasted like absolute garbage. Wasn't cold, fresh, nothing. Got home that night, felt nausea coming on and ended up throwing up and had diarrhea so the bananas must have been rotten and spoiled or something. Won't be going back. I visited Playa Bowls 05/21/25 for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a complete lack of customer service. I greeted the employee with a "Hello, how are you?" but was met with silence and a blank stare. Being ignored like that is not a great way to make a first impression. Despite the unwelcoming atmosphere, I decided to try one of their acai bowls. While the menu looked promising, the initial poor service really overshadowed the entire visit. I hope that Playa Bowls can address these customer service issues to create a more positive experience for future customers. As it stands, I can't recommend this location based...

I wanted to try this place out because it just opened in Murfreesboro and I love Açaí bowls! I’ve been to different smoothie bowl places and this was my first time here. The inside was really clean and everything looked nice. I was really disappointed in the smoothie bowl part because it was expensive and it didn’t taste good at all.
