Taquería & Tamaleria Nuevo León — Restaurant in Murphy

Taquería & Tamaleria Nuevo León just opened a new location in Murphy, so I had to try it. They have a taco Tuesday deal for $1 trompo tacos, so I had to stock up on those.

My sister has went to pick up a order of 25 tacos, but they were missing 15 tacos when they picked up their order. I went to collect the other 15 and they were very kind and apologetic when I got them. I appreciated that. The to go orders are in the front counter. The vibes inside were actually nice and had plenty of people seated. They also have an outside dining area as well.

The order comes with beans which are really good, the traditional onions/cilantro which tastes fresh, and Verde/orange sauces. Be warned that the Verde sauce has a spicy undercover kick to it. The real winner here is the trompo tacos. The order was actually still hot when I ate them. The tacos and plenty of meat which I adored because some places sketch out on the meats.

I would definitely come back for taco Tuesday. Definitely a hit for me and they were super cool about the missing...

I got to say I absolutely love the food here and the people are nice. I go here between 3 and 5 times a week for breakfast, lunch or dinner But I am beyond frustrated at how they messed my order at least 50% of the time. Unless I order it there and eat it there, there is always something they are missing or something they do wrong. No matter how many times they see me. No matter how many times I ask for something specific. It's like they put it in the POS system and don't communicate it to the back. They really have to get it together when it comes to this because I am beyond beyond beyond frustrated gaining my order wrong. After I pay for it, I should not have to check my food every single time I take my food to go. They're supposed to be better than Burger, King and McDonald's here. The food is really good. The girls who work here on weekend nights have a BAD ATTITUDE. They roll their eyes if you ask for anything extra even if you’re willing to pay for it ( charging .50 cents for an extra lime when someone is paying with an Amex is a terrible business decision, but whatever). This review is based on multiple interactions, not just 1. The Richardson location is far better when it comes to customer service even though they are way more busy. Today, I walked in at 9:20, she told me they were closing at 10 so my food would need to be to go. I found this really off putting. I also told her she didn’t put any beans in my to go order and she literally went to my table and checked to make sure before giving me extra beans.
