This place is an absolute gem hidden in southern Illinois. Located in downtown Murphysboro it is an small Irish bar. Owner operator literally has created something special. He makes all his brews which generally are 10 different ones at a time. As the seasons change so does his brews to mark the seasons and that people drink. He designed and made all the furniture and the actual bar itself. Prices are absolutely affordable as well as his 32 oz growlers. He uses his own home grown vegetables in the making of his Jalepeno and Habanero beer. I cannot tell you how awesome and verstile these beers are. Bought a growler each and marinate meat with them for smoking. Fantastic! He made a Belgium beer that rocked. Very rarely can I find a location with flights of beer that I truly like almost all of them, but he nailed this. Cannot wait for fall to go back a drink some of his released scottish ales. 5 stars. When there, talk to him about the beer, he is very knowledgable and friendly!! Will go back everytime I drive through...
ย ย ย Read moreThis brewpub is FANTASTIC! I visited on a Sunday night and while there I tried a sample of each beer. I have a lot of experience tasting different craft beer styles, and can say that regardless of the style you love to drink, you will find something delicious and refreshing here. Their beers are EXCELLENT representations of the styles they make and are highly drinkable.
Nick, the brewmaster, seems to know A LOT about brewing, and it shows in his beers. Probably because he's been a home brewer for EVER, spent time in the craft brewing scene in Colorado, and then worked for a small brewery for years.
The vibe is very comfortable inside, and the Molly's Pint makes an awesome location for a get-together...
ย ย ย Read moreAs a lover of beer and specifically micro-brews, I loved this place from the moment I walked in. The beers are flavorful and surprisingly affordable, and the atmosphere is perfect. The owner is actually behind the bar and clearly loves what he creates. He was joyful about working and brewing and it was contagious to the entire bar. When I walk in, I feel like I had been transported to a Irish pub in Ireland. You actually talk to people and play board games. When I was there, there was a live band, and people shared stories and a good brew. This is the perfect place to share a beer...
