.357 Burgers — Restaurant in Murray

Updating my review. For years many years after they first opened, they were consistently great, & my favorite place to get a hamburger. Great food. Great prices. Great staff. Great atmosphere. I had a 5-star review on here for several years. The last few years it's been more hit & miss. My sister & I had a lousy experience in June 2023. So I didn't go back until a couple of months ago. Everything was great when I visited a couple of months ago. I went again today with the plan of updating my bad review I'd updated last year. The experience today was a little below average. The atmosphere was nice, except the tables around me were somewhat dirty & needed to be wiped down. The three employees on duty didn't seem to be doing anything when I was there. One was just standing at the register, & the other two emerged from the back after I placed my order. There was only one other couple in the place, already eating their order when I arrived (so, they didn't appear to be busy).

I just ordered a single barrel burger. They missed one ingredient on the burger, which wasn't a big deal. I just went back to the counter & asked them to throw that topping in the box & put it on the burger myself. I wasn't happy with how the burger was assembled, with the ketchup on the bun so it gets soggy. Also, the toppings on this visit were somewhat sparse, except for the ketchup, which there was maybe a bit too much of. I wanted to take a picture of it for this review, but didn't want to offend the employees. The quality of ingredients is far better than fast food though, & the flavor is good.

All in all, this can be great, or it can be lousy. For years I had given them a 5-star review. After my experience last year, I bumped it down to a 2-star review. I am now adjusting to 3-stars. I think it depends on the staff who end up...

We tried this place because the reviews raved about it and we love to try new places. But we were less than impressed with a few things. We always try to be understanding and don't like to cause a fuss because, let's be honest, every business is struggling to find enough employees.

The food was pretty good in terms of taste. Great burgers, although they were constructed poorly. They were just falling apart as soon as we picked them up. That might seem nitpicky, but burgers are meant to be eaten with your hands. If you know, you know.

We ordered a milkshake (one milkshake) after we'd eaten because the pictures and comments in the reviews convinced us. There were a few larger parties ahead of us, so we figured we would be waiting for a few minutes. No big deal. But we waited 30 minutes for one milkshake. The place wasn't extremely busy, there were plenty of workers, and it wasn't until we asked about the milkshake 20 minutes after ordering that they apologized and said they were getting to it soon. It wasn't until 10 minutes after that, when we asked for a refund, that they actually started making the shake. When the shake came out, the outside of the cup was covered in ice cream. It did taste great, though!

Sorry for the long story, but it's simply to say that we would've picked a different burger joint had we known how long it was going to take to receive our order. If you're in a hurry, don't eat here. If you're not,...

Something about a burger after shooting is just 🤌🏻💋 Our experience was mixed though. This wasn't my first time here, and I remembered it being kind of expensive - I remembered correctly. Think 5 Guys but with (what I feel like) better ingredients and definitely more variety in menu items. You get to choose how many patties, what cheese (costs extra), sauce and other toppings. However - after we ordered, we couldn't get the vanilla shake we ordered so we had to get that refunded because vanilla was "broken" and only chocolate worked. Then my food was dropped on the ground so we had to wait for my burger to be cooked again. Both of these situations were handled very well. I wasn't wild about the girl at the counter singing her heart out like she was expecting to be discovered by an undercover music producer; mostly because both her and the music were extremely loud we couldn't hear over it very well.. but overall the kids working were nice and despite the few mishaps we had, it was still a pleasant experience. Only reason for the 4 stars is just because it's a little pricey based on the restaurant experience. It's very much a casual place, there's no wait staff, but you are paying prices that are similar to that type of restaurant. Definitely not a deal breaker but it's something to...
