Madero Cantina — Restaurant in Murrysville

Let me start by saying I have been going here since they were small and new...and loved it! But....now, I’ve had the worst experience ever there service wise. The food was still amazing!! We walked into a 25-30 minute wait, which is normal on a Friday night. We sat at the bar for a good ten minutes while watching employees come and go behind the bar without even a glance our way. Finally when we did get service at the bar we ordered a top shelf flight of Tequila, the bartender poured us the wrong tequilas and we did tell her and she was very friendly and fixed mistake. We than got seated at our table and ordered an appetizer, ended up being wrong but whatever. The waitress finally realized that she got us wrong app and gives us our original ordered app. After all these problems we still were happy but when the two tables around us came after us and ordered after us, got their food and finished before we even got our meal pushed us over the edge. We watched employees wonder around aimlessly while we saw tables and guests needing things. I heard people say the food here is worth the wait. I was prepared for a decent meal but their warning still didn't prepare me for the time we would invest in this meal. 1 server. That is what they had running the dining room. And boy was he running. He was doing his best to keep up the pace. My issue is that management knows a single server can't manage all the jobs a server does. There should of been a manager, hostess or other designated person to help seat, take drink orders, run meals or bus tables. I saw no other employee on the floor helping and believe me......I had time to look around. If this had been a date night with my wife we could of sipped some drinks and waited. Trying to occupy a 9 and 5 year old while in there was a challenge. They both loved the food when it came but they were as curious about the wait and their mom and I were. I really did enjoy my meal. It was made with care, looked gorgeous and tasted amazing. I would honestly love to try a few other items on the menu but with working 2 jobs and a busy home life I honestly can't waste 90+ minutes in there on a semi...

Changed it to 2 star. Went there for Father's Day. Took forever to bring drinks and chips. The waitress was (pardon the language) a bit of an a**hole for using a rude tone and refusing to correct mistakes with the kitchen once the food arrived and was mostly wrong or missing items. When the food arrived after 45 minutes of waiting it was cold, flavorless, and almost everyone in the party of 6 got the order wrong. Forgot someones side dishes and still charged for them, charged for a chicken enchilada and got a cheese one without their sides. Burrito tasted awful, the fish was drowned in flavorless tomato sauce. The tacos were missing the special sauce. Only good thing was the chips and dips. As usual the queso, guacamole, and salsa were all fresh and flavorful. Just wish the server had been kinder, corrected mistakes, brought food once ready rather than letting it sit, and that the cooks had put more effort into the...
