Cons: Watch your bill. I was charged $4 more for my meal entre than the menu price. In addition, this new "system" of restaurant billing where the bill shows both the CC vs cash price is intentionally deceiving for customers. For instance, my wine was $10/glass on the menu, but the bill shows $10.40. So, the bill itemization comes reflecting what the restaurant "thinks" the customer will pay with (in this case a CC), and therefore the prices do not reflect prices on the menu. The total is then tallied to show a CC price with the CC fee added in that the customer now must assume, with the cash price at the bottom, as if it is some "reward" for paying with cash. Heres my take on this: the bill should reflect the menu prices for accuracy; total tally should reflect the menu prices for accuracy; and the CC price should be shown last to reflect the penalty for paying by CC. The general public is not that stupid that we need to be dished out a reverse psychology game with pricing. I don't "need" to eat out. I do it for enjoyment. It is not enjoyable to feel duped at the end of the meal. Pros: Quiet, nice environment with only 1 small TV out of the way of most tables (yah!), not a sports bar, low volume, pleasant music, clean, food is good,...
Read moreFirst, our waitress was awesome! None of this is her fault. I’m pretty sure she was by herself at 5pm on a Sunday. My wife is handicap, so the figuring out how to get in when you’re from out of town was more difficult than I’d like to admit. But once we got in, things seemed great. Very quiet atmosphere (almost too quiet) but chalked that up to 5pm on a Sunday and not a lot of people. There were 3 other families in the restaurant. We ordered our food and it took much longer than it should have in our opinion. We waited for over 20 minutes for our salads, 35 for our appetizer and well over an hour for our actual food, which was a nightmare considering we had a 6 year old with us. The waitress was great, I wished she had checked a few more times on drinks but she seemed very busy the whole time. The food was pretty good when we got it, although I think the garlic cheese bread is a little misleading. It’s just a French loaf cut into 1/4 in slices with cheese on top, no...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem of Muscatine. The food was absolutely incredible. Very quiet atmosphere and the service was excellent! I can’t say enough about the prices as they are very, very reasonable for such authentic Italian food. So many varieties to pick from it was hard to choose. And I’m very particular and picky eater. The chicken Romano, the chicken Mamma Mia, the chicken peppers, and onions, and the chicken Florentine as well as the chicken Siciliano are all very highly recommended! My copilot had the chicken Parmesan, which was absolutely amazing. Had a nice glass of red blend wine as well. This food was 10 out of 10! Oh, by the way, the garlic nuts are to die for which comes out in a bread basket with olive oil and Parmesan cheese! Yum! The portions are the perfect size! Very highly...
