HORRIBLE service. We ordered a bunch of stuff - mostly which came with tortillas. For starters our waitress got our order wrong, bought out 2 beef soups when we ordered 1 pork and 1 beef. Like why would we purposely order the wrong soups?? We know what we want. Furthermore when we asked the waitress to correct our order, she said we ordered 2 large beef soups. like excuse me?? we as the customers know what we ordered. Shameful. On top of that she said we would have to pay extra to get our correct order. Overconfidence ruined the service. Very embarrassing. Secondly they completely forgot our tortillas. When we asked them to bring it over, they clearly asked us to specify which ones to get twice. We wanted corn. They bought out all flour tortillas, that too by the time we nearly finished our meal. And on top of that when we called our waitress to point out the error, she just chuckled?? Like hello where is the apology for your NUMEROUS mistakes?? Making mistakes is acceptable but you need to be responsible and hold yourself accountable for it, if you fail to do so then you should not be working in customer service. The waitresses need better training. The fajitas were also super super bland. The rest of the food was good though especially the shrimp. We usually tip well but didnt this time, unfortunate to have had a terrible experience here. Avoid.

Wonderful Mexican restaurant located in downtown Muscatine. We frequent this restaurant and have always enjoyed our food and received excellent service. Their prices are reasonable and they offer generous portion sizes. The restaurant is well decorated and clean. "The Guad" is one of Muscatine's nicest places to eat.

Clean and cute restaurant. The food was ok. Salsa more like a tomato sauce than a flavorful dip. Same for the other dishes we had, they were ok just bland. Kid's menu advertised fresh fruit as a side; when they arrived they were the prepackaged fruit bowls; kids were disappointed in that.

My fiance and I went for supper 11-28-17. We have always had good service, great food, and very friendly workers. We got chips and salsa brought to our after about 15 minutes. Literly dropped... the guy literally slide the chips and salsa on the table and left. Then the booth behind us was seated. It took over 45 minutes just to have somone take our drinks order and only because when were asking the booth behind us if they had ever had this terrible of service and then one of the 2 hostesses that had been standing at the register the whole time finally came over and took our (and the table behind us) drink orders. When we asked if they were busy or something and that it was poor service the guy that gave us chips and salsa said yes and they only had one cook and there was nothing they could do about it. Only 1 cook!!!! What does that have to do with getting our orders taken. So we got our food. Then to top it all off it took 45 minutes to get a to go box. They took care of the bill for the people in the booth behind us. And we didn't even get an I'm sorry. SO VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE...

I ordered the Caldo De 7 Mares, I’ve enjoy seafood and have ordered similar dishes from other local restaurants but this was the most disgusting meal I’ve ever been served in my life. It smelled like the riverfront during flood season, just like one of the images here on their google profile. It had crab legs and the body of a crab inside with the shell still on but no utensils to crack the shells. When I told the waitress it smelled disgusting and tasted disgusting she asked if I’d like to order something different but came back shortly and said the manager wouldn’t take it off my bill because I ordered it. I expected it to be decent seafood not something that smelled and tasted like Mississippi River water and the strongest fishy smell and taste with very little other flavor or seasoning. On top of all that, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks and felt abandoned by our server after sending back the seafood. We usually enjoy Guadalajara and other items on the menu but after this experience we definitely...
