January 17. Very nice and warm atmosphere. Very comforting after coming in from a day of exploring the downtown area as well as the riverfront during the middle of January. January 16 to be exact! I flew my drone around the river front and read some of the plaques along the river for the historical purpose of understanding Muscatine a bit more. Stumbled upon the coffeebelt, coffee shop and it had a very inviting atmosphere with very friendly customer service. The girls behind the counter were very helpful and made some suggestions. I sat in the couch by the front bay window and it was beautiful to see such a nice clean downtown. Albeit, very cold, but just nice to explore yet another new place I haven’t been to before. Being a pilot, this was a nice surprise with our deciding to come up to Muscatine from landing the jet in Burlington, Iowa. Always love exploring! The coffee was very tasteful and the prices were very fair. I also got a cinnamon apple scone to go with my coffee. It was an excellent choice! Enough to tie me over until lunch!

January 18. Well, I had to move down to a three star because I went the very next day since I really enjoyed the first day with the girls that worked there. On the second day, Saturday it took me 20 minutes to get my coffee. It was just a simple Americano coffee and I asked for it hot. After 20 minutes awaiting I inquired where it was since there were only five other people and they said they were working on it. When I finally got it, it was cold. Not warm, not hot, not iced but just cold coffee. I returned it and it took another 10 minutes to get it back. I really wanted to enjoy the coffee like I did the day before with my cinnamon bun, but unfortunately they blew it. It was too dark skinned women that were working there and unfortunately they had no personalities like they did on The day before when I was there on Friday. Setting it now to a four star luckily...

Visiting from out of state on 10/12 and was going to go to Starbucks but remembered I have been wanting to try this place and got here before they closed. Stopped in 15 minutes before closing the 2 young girls working had their register open and were counting it down the one with change in her hand dropped the coins in the register and closed it. I could tell the one counting was upset we came In before they closed I looked at my Phone confused they still had 15 minutes left so I let her know we would be paying with a card maybe that would make her feel better but nope. We looked at the drink menu and I was looking on Facebook asked what a picture I seen on there of the fall drinks could be she told me she didn’t know and didn’t even recommend any of the drinks. So I just got a horchata latte we also ordered a mango smoothie and 2 of the I am an Autumn but we later realized the I am an Autumn We got were only cold foam caramel drizzle and milk. It was completely white. Very disappointing after we spent $27 and the girls acted like this. I was also going to leave a tip but didn’t even have time to she closed the screen out for me. We left and they still had time left before close a couple walked in and they sent them right back out the door telling them they were closed. Very poor customer service from these 2 girls that day. Added pics: 1 of the I am Autumn after we realized it was all cold foam milk and caramel drizzle and the next picture is what it should have...

I'd like to preface this review and say that I like our local coffee shop and I use the same coffee and syrups at home so I'm picky about coffee drinks.

The barista was nice and answered the questions we had as first time patrons. The shop was stuffy warm today. I would not have stayed to drink the coffee.

I ordered an iced latte. I asked how much espresso went into a 16 ounce drink. She said 2 ounces as a single shot. My double shots are 2 ounces so she said she would double it for me. I'm sure I got charged for it but I need the flavor to be right. I should have questioned it further to see if it was indeed a double shot and she runs the machine once thinking it is a single shot. ?? My error, I should have asked more questions. I told her how many syrup pumps I wanted as I knew in my daughter's 24 ounce that they use SEVEN pumps of syrup. I went with my usual 2 I use at home and how I also order at the local coffee shop. It was bitter and I don't know now if it is the the "double" shot which may have actually been 4 shots or if the coffee was just a burnt flavor.

I feel like it could have been the coffee as my daughter ordered a 24 ounce Bambino and it was bitter too. She did not change up her espresso amount and it had more milk for the size. If I drank it through the peanut butter foam is as OK but with a...
