Osaka is my boyfriend's and my preferred dining destination. The culinary experience is consistently exceptional, with immaculately prepared and reasonably priced dishes. The restaurant maintains a welcoming atmosphere and impeccable cleanliness. The owners and staff are notably friendly. While I have traditionally been thoroughly satisfied, our last two visits have led us to consider transitioning to takeaway orders instead of dining in. Unfortunately, our recent server has demonstrated inadequacies in customer service. During our initial encounter, she mismanaged our order and openly acknowledged her unfamiliarity with the system, which is understandable given the menu's complexity. However, we were taken aback when we overheard her discussing us with colleagues in the back. Our most recent experience was even more disappointing. She lingered beside our table, staring at us in a manner that made us feel uncomfortable and unable to converse. Although our food arrived correctly, she required prompting to identify our table, despite being the only patrons at the time. She inquired about our meal mere minutes after serving, asking “is it good” then promptly disappeared for the remainder of our dining experience, neglecting to offer refills. When presenting the bill, she remarked, “Cash tips are my favorite.” As someone with extensive experience in the food service industry, including management roles, I found this comment to be unprofessional and unprecedented. Her behavior made our experience unsettling. Regrettably, I have never witnessed such poor server etiquette. While we will continue to support the establishment through takeaway orders, we will refrain from dining in due to concerns about receiving subpar service. I acknowledge the current staffing challenges and do not intend to penalize the owners by withholding our patronage entirely. Instead, we will wait until they can secure more...
Read moreFirst off starting I really don’t leave horrendous reviews but others should be informed before they go, maybe they will have an adequate experience. We Waited over an hour for our food. We ordered the same thing both, hibachi dinner New York steak & scallops. And a rainbow roll of sushi. During that time didn’t see our waitress other than to take our order. Never got a refill on drinks or checked on. There was only a party of about 10 there & one other table when we arrived. While waiting we watched two other tables get served before us, that had only been there for 30 or so minutes. When we did get our food. It was cold. And we asked medium rare on steak. Me and my partner hate to even say or make an issue ever but we spoke up. They offered to heat up the food again and give us a gift card. We really didn’t even want the food at that point due to the wait and the food being cold, like who wants reheated seafood? But that’s what we were offered. So we paid 73$ and got a 30$ gift card for next visit, which if we do come back maybe only for sushi. Didn’t like the fact we were offered to have warmed up food after an hour of waiting.. at least the gift card is nice but horrible service. And for how the menu is priced you expect the service to be...
Read moreI’ve been here many times but last night should’ve been handled better. I took my dad here for dinner we were two of four people in the whole restaurant. They had our order before people started piling in. Advertiser came promptly. Waitress was great. Except somehow my order got lost and as I watched everybody else eat in the restaurant and leave I sat there and watched my father have dinner And after an hour and a half literally. I asked our waitress to cancel my order because I would go eat somewhere else. I wasn’t upset as I should’ve been, I was just hungry. She found my order which has been sitting for over an hour in the takeout area, I believe my meal should’ve been free at that point. She gave us 10% off. I’m still not quite sure how I feel about that. Otherwise the...
