Captain D's — Restaurant in Muscle Shoals

The manager was having to take orders bring out food,basically doing everything. The tables in the middle of the aisle someone in a wheelchair were barely able to get up one side , the handicap stall had no toilet paper and urine on the seat. The manager was informed she said the table was screwed into the floor. She did after ten fifteen minutes go clean the restroom. The manager is trying her best to run the place but, it appears she's trying to do everything. The issue with accessibility is a big issue. The food was sub par. The restroom as a whole was unsanitary. Was disappointed with the experience but, the manager was alerted to acciblity issues as well as the unsanitary issues and she said she would talk to the higher ups but, not sure if actions will be...

I usually love Capt D's, maybe that's why I am surprised by my experience. We ordered a four piece fish, a shrimp catfish sticks app, fried green tomatoes, and sweet tea with lemon. We received the 4 piece, cold 🍟, no tomatoes, and tea with no 🍋. Who ever heard of a seafood restaurant that didn't have 🍋? Sometimes it is the shipper, but it is mostly that they just don't want to cut them. The shrimp was all breading and no shrimp. The catfish sticks were strange. We think they may have been the clam strips instead, but the inner part was not recognizable as either. Also, the tomatoes were missing. We thought they just forgot them, but looking at the receipt, we noticed that they hadn't been ordered. Disappointed. The slaw and hush...

These guys always go above what I expect them to do, and I am usually really happy w my service. But, my most recent visit, 2 kids working the front line were standing leaned against the counter TEXTING ON THEIR PHONES, while my food sat in the "window" waiting to be bagged. Get these kids to leave their phones at home. You're at work to WORK. But the quality of the food was A+ (pretty sure the closing manager was cooking the food, she always treats us well.) Oh, and the bathrooms ARE FAR TOO HOT. No one should even be in the bathrooms long enough for heat to need to be on. But those were like furnaces and it was almost 70 outside. Needed to change a diaper but dang sure couldn't do it in there without...
