Loves me some Aldi. Customer is A1 with the exception of one maybe two employees. One gentleman there REALLY needs to work on his customer service and customer interaction. I've had at least 4 experiences with him that left a bad taste in my mouth bc he's rude and seems to be annoyed every single time I've come there. So much so I genuinely thought he had Asperger syndrome. One instance after exiting a store after my checkout experience two customers stopped me. One said he was really rude about that cart. The other immediately behind him said stated he did not have to act like that about the cart. Which I felt was a bit off I scrolled away with a cart attempting to allow the next person in line go ahead so I didn't hold them up while I was unloading my groceries. He attempted to snatch the cart from me and was lookig disgusted that I took the cart with a customer behind me with a cart to relace the one i had. It was a very weord exchange bc this is how I've always checked out and everyone else as well. I replied he has Aspergers. I try to exend grace and I kept it moving. Bc he truly is RUDE and I legitimately thought he had Asperger bc of his disposition. Today, a gentleman was attempting to get a box from a loading cart. I watched this employee turn his face up, sign, rolled his eyes and looked to his co worker with the most disgusted look on his face as if to say do you see this ... bc the OLDER gentleman was attempting to get a empty box for his groceries. The employee (short salt and pepper cut , female she's usually stocking) returned the look with a smirk. I'm standing watching the entire interaction. I asked "is there an issue with us getting a box?" He never looked up and replied "nope I don't have a issue." "OK, maybe work on your facial expressions and customer interactions bc it looks like you do have a issue." I walked away without the box. No big deal. I don't need the box. I did mention to the cashier bc again this was like the 4th interaction with this employee that left me wondering if he actually likes his job. And if he doesnt that's fine but we (as customers who pay to shop) shouldn't know it or feel like you're miserable. He's the only one in there that acts like this. The remainder of the employee’s are very personable and nice. Like, truly and they maintain professionalism at all times. I do find the short hair lady isn't the most pleasant but she's no where near his level of daily rudeness. Maybe, a crash Chic fil A course on customer service could do him some good or another job behind a computer screen so no one can see his...
Read moreThis store is a little different from most grocery stores in that it is smaller, shoppers bag their own groceries, bags are not provided, and the shopping carts are locked up. These things may sound negative, but they actually make Aldi my favorite store. Because the store is smaller, getting what you need and getting back to your day is much easier. There are several registers, which means lines move quickly if there is one at all. The cashiers do not bag the items, which expedites checkout. A counter is available for shoppers to organize their groceries in bags after paying. Aldi does not provide bags, but rather expects shoppers to provide their own or purchase a reusable one. This is not only cost efficient (which is evident in their prices) but also great for the environment. Don't forget a quarter! The carts have an interlocking system that requires a quarter to disconnect one. This prevents shoppers from leaving their carts in the parking lot, which protects vehicles and eliminates the need for employees to be sent to gather them. Once the cart is reconnected, the quarter is released. I go out of my way...
Read moreI'm not exactly sure which Aldi location this rating is supposed to be for, but if there's an Aldi around..... I'll go to it!! I have NOT found any location of this chain of stores that I was ever disappointed!! If something happened and I wasn't pleased, the staff, be it management, cashier or stocker, they would always take care of the issue.... and they would do it with a SMILE!! The food is excellent quality, the prices are lower than any other grocery store, the attitude is pleasant and accommodating and the stores are always clean!! The ONLY issue I have is that I love to look at all of their non-food sale items and I might want to show my hubby before I buy more than one of something. We'll, I have gone back later that same day...and they were all gone!! So, my advice is that if you see an item you like, but you're not sure whether to get it, or not sure if you should get more than one......PUT THE ITEM IN YOUR CART, OR PUT IN AS MANY AS YOU THINK YOU'LL NEED WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE! If you don't, you may not be able to get it later! In general, I LOVE this place!!! I think...
