I stopped going to McDonalds some time at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. It's not because their food is unhealthy or anything. It's because they used to be a cheap, unhealthy restaurant. Now they are a not-so-cheap, unhealthy restaurant. You can go to the Culver's across the street from here and get a kid's meal (butterburger, fries, drink, and a scoop of custard) for like $6.49. On the contrary, a hamburger happy meal at McDonalds is $6.59, the burger doesn't come with cheese, and the meal doesn't come with ice cream or custard. I'm comparing current prices online right now so these prices are 100% accurate as of 6/20/24.
Here are some more examples: I could also get a spicy crispy chicken sandwich at Culver's for $5.59 (just the sandwich). The "McCrispy," which has a smaller chicken breast and doesn't taste as good, is $5.89. I also noticed while customizing the sandwiches side-by-side online, that McDonalds gives you the option to add "three half strips of bacon" (also known as 1 and one half strips of bacon, for those of us who don't use marketing to deceive people on a daily basis) for $2.89! and their bacon is not anything special. Culver's gives you the option to add thick-cut bacon for $1.60. So even if it's only one strip of thick cut bacon, it's far more than the "three half strips" of tiny, anorexic bacon that you get at McDonalds.
Now let's look at some more premium options. Culver's currently has a "Pretzel Haus Pub Burger Value Basket." It has a pretzel bun, two types of Wisconsin Cheddar, bacon, pickled onions, and Bistro sauce. This one comes in at $13.39 for the value basket. The closest equivalent I could find at McDonalds is a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Deluxe Meal, at $14.19 for a meal, and it doesn't even come with bacon.
So basically, the Culver's across the street uses fresher ingredients, tastes better (in my opinion), and is more affordable. McDonalds was supposed to be a cheap unhealthy place for food, now it's just an expensive, sloppy disgrace. I don't think I'll ever go to McDonalds again, especially now that Wendy's has a better breakfast.
Heck, even the Pizza hut up the road is doing $5 personal pan pizzas and a $7 meal that comes with a personal pan pizza and 4 boneless wings. Basically every restaurant that is equivalent or slightly better quality than McDonalds is cheaper and/or higher quality,...

Terrible. Ordered from the kiosk in the lobby. While we were there the employees had to correct three orders, all the while talking among themselves, latter mocking one of their mistakes in a tacky British accent.
My Spicy Deluxe Chicken Sandwich had hardly any lettuce and no tomato. My wife's QPC BLT had no tomato and no lettuce. When we returned I was mistaken that my sandwich didn't have bacon. I checked at the kiosk and corrected myself. The girl in charge continued to point to the picture while I spoke with my wife as if I didn't know that my sandwich didn't have bacon. In addition, there was no indication that they were out of tomatoes: no sign, no employee informed us as we placed our order, no employee informed us after the order had been placed and reached them. The girl in charge saw that neither of our sandwiches had hardly to no lettuce and nothing was getting done about it. At this point my wife and I left. The girl was at the register as if she was going to give a refund but we were fed up and were having none of it.
Word to the wise: A sign goes a long way letting customers know if you are out of something. Employees that are even 50% attentive would have been nice as well. They won't have to worry about us, we will never go there again. There are plenty of McDonalds locations we've been to and had zero issues. We went here for convenience. Making new sandwiches would've solved things as well, but that was never an option either.
We were wrong to eat at this location. The employees are terrible, the customer service is terrible. Use the McDonalds at 3680 S Moorland Rd or 4550 S 108th St unless you...
Read moreGoing to this mcdonalds that was recently remodeled I expected a clean, friendly, and quick environment. We ordered three meals and expected a wait of maximum 10 minutes. Being a previous worker at a different mcdonalds 10 minutes sounded reasonable for the amount we ordered. The drive thru was not busy and there was a small group of people in the lobby ordering and waiting for food. The cashier in the front seemed new but the rest of the staff was not helping. Most of the staff was in the front which I would assumed they're too young to be helping out in kitchen. The manager was in the kitchen making food with one other worker. After about 30 minutes passed I finally received my food. Everything was cold or done wrong besides the fries. I ordered my grilled chicken sandwich without the vinaigrette, but unfortunately it had vinaigrette on it. I took it back and kindly asked for it to be remade. I received a new sandwich without a toasted bun. My mom asked to see a manager, then the manager told his employees to say " call the 1-800 number if you have a problem." And so I did.
I get it short staffing can happen, I was in that situation tons of times. Customers come first. It wasn't that busy and everyone seemed out of place and they didn't know what to do. I hope proper staffing and training can be done especially on a weekend. Having 5 14/15 year olds in the front and one guy on truck order and one regular employee on grill is not acceptable and will cause issues like what...
