Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Muskegon

I would estimate that about 80% of the time, this Pizza Hut does a good job (for a national chain, that is). But when they don't, they really DON'T! Take tonight, for example. I ordered the "Dinner Box," which consists of a rectangular pizza (about the equivalent of a medium round pizza) with a pan-style crust, breadsticks (with sauce), and cinnamon sticks (with icing). I ordered the pizza as half plain cheese... they put toppings on the whole pizza. The breadsticks were so tough that I could hardly chew them (I gave up after the first few bites). Finally, the butter/cinnamon/sugar mixture from the cinnamon sticks made a big mess, soaking through the box and running onto the regular breadsticks.

If I were rating based solely on tonight, it would be lower than 4* stars. But that wouldn't be fair, given that I know they can do better than tonight's disappointing experience. I just hope their average doesn't go down.

Ordered dinner at 5:08 p.m tonight from apple location in Muskegon Delivery time was 25-30 mins or by 5:40. 7:05 and still no food. I called the restaurant about 20 mins ago just to get rudely told I have to put you on hold a min. No time to say anything before annoying music and ads playing. After 11 mins I was told they lost power and just got it back. I asked how long and got told when the driver get back we’re next. I asked for an estimated time and was told 2 more time when the driver gets back. No apology or estimated time. I had to leave for work 35 mins ago at 630. I got kids at the house with their mom hungry. I had to buy something different on my way to work. You think they would have called earlier and offered a refund or asked if we’re ok to wait. I called again at 740 and was told they just got power back. I said I called earlier and was told the same thing. I asked if I was gonna get a fresh pizza or a 3 hour old pizza. They replied and said fresh it’s been under the warmer. I asked how a warmer works with no power and got an answer of the driver just left with your order. We live .8 miles away. I would give a 0 if I could. Won’t be back. 8:15...

Went to this pizza hut due to previous reviews/ rated better than the others in the area. That was probably a mistake. We arrived and we were the only ones there. We thought maybe because it was 930pm . Went to order only to find out they ran out of breadsticks. Decided to try the pizza bites pizza and the cinnabon mini rolls. The server was nice and efficient. And the pizza was good. We requested extra seasoning on the bites. Everything tasted good. The problem was they were out of breadsticks and the pizza wasnt cut well.Had to cut every piece. The cinnabons were great.The atmosphere on the other hand was NOT good. We had kids with us and the 2 guys behind the counter were talking loudly and cuss words were plentiful. I came to the conclusion they were talking about a video game but not sure as they were talking about killing people. But to talk that loudly and swearing constantly is not something you do at a workplace with customers around. Lost our business for sure and management needs to talk to their employees about...
