Sandbar — Restaurant in Muskegon

This place really surprised us. We have a boat in a marina on Muskegon Lake. On our way home, after a day of boating. We were hungry and needed to stop for food. This place really grabbed our hearts. Super clean in the inside. The outside deck is a ton of fun and very relaxing in the summer when they are not busy. The food is easy going, comfort food. Not off wall, chef inspired food that makes you wonder what you are ordering. What you read on the menu is exactly what you get to your plate. Locally owned, ive heard from many people that the owner is amazing. Which doesn't surprise me because the establishment speaks volume for being a little bar. Our family was looking for a place to get lunch, figured we would support a local place. Service was acceptable. My girls liked their sandwiches and fries. I ordered the sandbar burger, and let me tell you it was the worst burger I've ever had. I didn't eat the whole thing, just the fries. And I didn't ask for a new one because I'm not going to have a disgruntled cook mess with my food. It was a truly awful burger, I can't un-eat it and I'll never forget it. I gave it a 5 star even though we waited a while for everything. The waitress was by herself, and she was running the bar. She was so friendly and apologized for the delays.. The atmosphere is great.
