Slappy's Slaw Dog and Sandwich — Restaurant in Muskegon

This place is fantastic!! I ordered an empire dog and a half lakeshore cheesesteak, normally I would have gone with one or the other and a side but I wanted to try a small range of things, they were both absolutely phenomenal. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, I love the atmosphere of the place and lots of choices in indoor and outdoor seating. I just recently moved to Muskegon and this is the best spot I’ve found so far in my 5 months here trying various different restaurants. Wow!

I came to the restaurant about 15 minutes before closing, which I feel bad about but I have a weird schedule and really wanted to try it. Despite doing that the food was incredibly fresh which surpassed my expectations. I do wish the restaurant was open for longer hours during weekdays but I also completely understand it’s a brand new restaurant and good help is hard to find and everybody needs a good work/life balance.

After sitting in was asked what I was drinking twice when all I asked for was a water. Once I've been brought my water and menu it takes another 10 minutes just to get my order in. It's not like I had a while table of people who needed to decide. I'm now 20 minutes into my lunch. After ordering another 15 minutes goes by and I get my food. Food was fantastic. 15 is normal time.
