A Bittersweet Goodbye to a Local Gem: Harvey D's in Muskogee It’s always hard to say goodbye to a place that feels like home, especially when it serves up incredible food, unforgettable drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family. Harvey D’s in Muskogee is that kind of place and with its doors closing soon, I wanted to share my experience in the hope others will stop by one last time before it's gone. We started our evening with the sampler platter, and let me tell you 10 out of 10. It was fried heaven in the best way: crispy cheese curds, perfectly hand-battered onion rings, crunchy fried pickles, golden mushrooms, and jalapeño poppers that packed just the right amount of kick. Every bite was delicious and made it almost impossible to pick a favorite. I also tried the wings, which I’d rate a solid 7.5 out of 10. The sauces were flavorful, and the texture was just the right crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. If I had to nitpick, the price point felt a bit high, but the taste definitely delivered. Now, let’s talk about drinks. I had the Dublin River, and wow 10 out of 10. Hands down the best drink I’ve had in a long, long time. Smooth, refreshing, and perfectly mixed. I honestly will go back just for that drink alone. The atmosphere is something special a full 10 out of 10 for its rustic, historical charm. It feels like stepping back in time in the best way, with walls that tell stories and a vibe that invites you to stay awhile. And last but definitely not least, the waitstaff deserves a standing ovation. 10 out of 10. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu and their recommendations were spot on and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back before they close, and I encourage anyone in or near Muskogee to do the same. Harvey D’s is more than just a restaurant — it’s a piece of the community. And though it’s bittersweet, I’m so glad I got to be part of its story. Thank you, Harvey D’s, for the memories.

Harvey D's is a unique experience that everyone should enjoy! They pride themselves in their work, and it shows. The food is always excellent. The service and conversation is phenomenal. I've never gotten something I didn't fall in love with! The jalapeño pomento cheese appetizer is my favorite. I crave it constantly. The brunch burger is the best I've had. The steaks and shrimp..🤤 The sides are always perfect! They have multiple dessert choices that change regularly. They have random specials, which are always so good! We needed them in muskogee! My favorite place to eat!!!

If you are in or around Muskogee check out the new place Harvey D’s Fine Dining. We were greeted with a warm inviting smile and seated promptly, our waitress was extra accommodating she made sure our glasses were never empty. The food was cooked perfectly and the steak was popping with flavor. The desert was decadent. The atmosphere was was so beautiful and the music that I’m still singing in my head today. Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We need more restaurants like this place. Props to the management, servers, and the cooks! Thank you!

I have been in a few times since they have opened.

The food started out strong but it has declined overall and the dilapidated building is in need of serious repairs. Your service is always slow as molasses.

The steaks these days are tough as a boot. Last three times I have went have been this way. Tough on outside and not cooked right on the inside. The cheesecake tasted like a freezer burned store bought dessert, the wine glass was absolutely filthy with water logged stem and bottom. The had a leak for a while and the carpet would be soaked so they would avoid seating anyone near that spot. They admitted it does it each time it rains., yet the carpet is still in tact and I've never seen a restoration place there taking care of it professionally. (You cant keep just drying it with a fan. I work nearby and never seen anyone there to repair things)

The old fashioned drink is loaded in some syrup or something oh and don't dare use the restroom ladies, the toilet is not secured. It will take off on you and I’m only 140 lbs. Very dangerous.

The last time I went, the entire place smelled of sewage so much I lost my appetite and just tabbed out. I didn’t even bother taking my leftovers.

I would have preferred to share this privately but their Facebook does not have that option.

They will be great like they once were if they start putting some money into that place. I feel as if they announced they were struggling due to not enough patrons and began cutting corners in their budget.

Bring back the lemon...

Harvey D’s Vintage Pub – Where Everybody Knows Your Name 🍻 Great food, great service, and a true gem of historic Muskogee. If you're looking for a spot that feels like home—where the drinks are cold, the food hits the spot, and the atmosphere is as welcoming as an old friend—Harvey D’s is it.

Their daily lunch specials will fill you up without emptying your wallet, making it the perfect place for a quick bite or a laid-back meeting. Didn’t get a chance to try the NY cheesecake this time, but that’s on the list for next visit!

With hours from 11 AM to 9 PM, Harvey D’s is the place to: 🍽 Grab lunch with your associates 🍻 Kick back for dinner with family 🏈 Catch the game with your buddies

It’s got that classic pub feel, a little like walking into an episode of Cheers—great people, good conversations, and a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Go check ‘em out—you won’t be...
