IHOP — Restaurant in Muskogee

You wrote a review for IHOP 21 minutes ago 1.0 star rating5/29/2023 To be fair, I should have ordered pancakes, but in my defense if that is the only thing they do well, that's all they should offer.

I went this morning to end our girls weekend. I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs. The menu described it as "multi-grain toast with cherry tomatoes, avocado, and optional eggs and bacon." A few minutes after ordering the avocado toast with eggs (sans bacon, add fruit) , someone (not our waiter) came by and asked "did someone order avocado toast? If so, we're out of multi grain bread - we'll give you sourdough toast." I can't eat sourdough (taste), so I asked for any other bread. I was told I'd have white toast, "but toasted hard." OK.

Meal came, the bread was not toasted at all. The avocado wasn't ripe (I couldn't even cut into it with a fork), and the egg was rubbery. The fruit side was three small squares of pineapple and two small squares of honeydew. The egg was rubbery. The cherry tomatoes were excellent.

Our waiter came with checks, and took the cards/cash that were ready. I pulled out my card, but he was on to another table, and the same woman who offered me white toast said she would take my card and check. I handed it to her. And waited. And waited. And waited. I told my girlfriends to go wait in the car, and maybe someone would notice me sitting there alone. And I waited. And I overheard other tables wondering if "that woman took our cards and left." My waiter also shook his head and said "she should have just let me take care of this." Eventually, she came back with my card and slip.

Long story short - I paid $14.99 for a cup of coffee, 1/4 cup of fruit and two cherry tomatoes. No one noticed that the rest of the meal was untouched. It wasn't the waiter's fault - I handed him a $5 tip in cash as I...

So we decided to come here for my birthday before a little get together. There was only 7 of us total and we were there for about an hour and 50 mins. We got sat down and helped like normal, got our drinks out, everything was fine. Then it started going downhill. Our server only had 2 tables (maybe 3) at the time, and she was standing and talking to one table leaving us for about 10-15 minutes before getting our order in. Food came out and was okay. Our server only came to check on our drinks or on us as a table a small handful of times. Again, leaving us for long stints to talk to that same table as before. Only 1 refill in the hour we had been there at that point. We had some stragglers coming in a little late and I was trying to put in an order for them, nothing crazy, just the appetizer sampler. It took her 20 minutes to get back to us for me to even do that. Our friends finally got there and it was another 20-30 minutes before the food came out, and before the food came out, our server (of course still standing and talking to that one table) was told to "take it out" by another server. I can only assume that she was told to go get the food for her table, being us. She responded to the other server by saying "one second!" In a happy jokey way, then went back to talking to that other table. My friend didn't get a drink until AFTER her food got here and her food wasn't hot when it got here. Food is always good service not so much!! We love ihop and usually go once a week when we don’t have kids and it’s usually late evening so it’s not packed literally walked in waiting to be seated and stood there 5-10 min while waitress after waitress walked by and even looked at us and ignored us finally we got seated by one of the girls who looked busy but took the time to grab us we then waited about another 10-15 min and our waitress never showed and yet again finally another waitress walking by noticed us took our order and took great care of us I don’t know what was the problem with our waitress whose section we were sat in that never showed we tip well try not to ask for much and just want to eat seems like every time we go there we wait and wait and wait! Time before last it took almost 35 min to get drinks and over an hour to get food with maybe 6 other tables in the building and that night every single table in the area we were sat in had to wait what seemed like forever!! The food is amazing and if you get the right server the service is great but it might take being ignored for 30 min before someone has to go out of there way to take care of you and that was highly appreciated!! Sorry for the rant but why wait tables if you don’t want to do all that goes into it!! Kudos to those who take care of us hungry folks and sorry you hate your job or whatever the problem is for...
