Maxine's Gastropub — Restaurant in Muskogee

Our first time. Food was good and hot. Four of us, all had different meals. My chicken was cooked perfect. All was eaten but the chili cheeseburger, he didn't like it and said it tasted like old chili. I tried it and it had a weird taste, like the chili was days old and the burger had an odd taste? The chips and queso were good with the beef in it. I'd like to have a bit more than they brought for the price though, we killed it with most of our chips led. So maybe offer a refill on it or some salsa too. Service was slow, food out of the kitchen was slow too, but I think some people / waitresses called in and they were short handed, we weren't in a hurry so not a big deal.

My only real complaint / negative was the vape smell. It was so STRONG!! It was literally making me sick. I don't know if people were vaping in there or just wafting from another area but it made us sick. Had to change clothing when we got home because we stunk!!! Really need to air it out or get an air cleaner and think of people who don't smoke / vape. We might be back, if the...

This place is a joke. We got into town late this evening for a birthday trip to the ren fair. Service was garbage, food took forever despite being all frozen reheated unseasoned crap and our waitress disappeared to sit at the bar and chat with her friends the whole time. My friend had to get her attention to which she said "WHAT?"

Then she showed up with the POS machine and just asked us to pay without showing itemized receipts. The first couple in our group paid and did custom tip because the tip part looked weird. Then when I went to do it I noticed how it said +2%, +5%, etc. I asked her if tip was already included to which she sheepishly said oh yeah for parties of 6 and more it's auto added... She didn't tell us this before and was trying to sneak more money out of us. It auto adds 20%!! So no wonder why she didn't gaf all night. She was guaranteed her tip.

The place is still decorated entirely in Christmas despite it being May. The floor is uneven and full of tripping hazards.

Food great! Service great! Will go again, however be aware they charge .98 for extra BBQ sauce and if you have an adult beverage that normally comes with a lime even if you don't ask for the lime they will charge you .20 per lime slice. I ordered 2 Modelo's, most bars add a lime I prefer no lime however they added a lime then came the ticket and I was charged .40 for lime. 🤦‍♀️ I'm not going to cause a scene over .40 but it was ridiculous to say the least.
