Taco Bell — Restaurant in Muskogee

I went to the Taco Bell on 32nd Street in Muskogee and had an awful experience on 9-13-23 before 10 am. The drive- thru staff had on gloves, but she touched many surfaces in the drive-thru to include money/credit card then she grabbed my breakfast burrito out of this silver device that held the burrito and then wrapped the burrito in the burrito paper and put it in the bag and tried to hand it to me out the drive-thru window. I told her that I didn't want that burrito because she had touched several surfaces including money/credit card and that I had watched her pick up my burrito out of the silver burrito holder and wrap it up. I told her that the burrito was dirty and that I wasn't going to eat it. I asked to have another burrito made for me and she threw the bag on the counter and stormed off into the back yelling "She said that she didn't want her food and she wants it made over!!!" I continued to watch as I waited for my order to be made again. I saw this same woman/worker who had just gotten angry with me for requesting to have my order made again, do the exact same thing again that she had done with the first burrito. She hadn't changed her gloves and she had already touched and contaminated many surfaces and she proceeded again and picked up the second burrito with those same contaminated gloves and wrapped the burrito in the burrito paper and put in a bag. I drove out of the drive-thru and drove around and parked, and went into the talk to someone at the front counter. The lady from the drive-thru came storming to the front counter trying to hand me a bag and I let her know that I wanted my order made once more because I had seen her pick up the second burrito with the same dirty gloves and that I didn't want that burrito, either. She was yelling, saying, "We did make your burrito again!! We made it 3 times!!" I asked for a manager and told her that I would like a refund for my order. The manager gave me a refund and I left the Taco Bell restaurant. I called back and talked to the manager, Lacey, to let her know that I didn't appreciate the unprofessional service that I had received from the lady in the drive-thru. Lacey informed me that she didn't initially realize what was going on because she was doing some paperwork, but that she had talked to the staff member. I am not trying to write the review to make "Taco Bell" look bad. I like Taco Bell, and I order food through the drive-thru frequently. I just want to share the unsanitary and unprofessional situation/experience and warn others to be cautious when they are placing their orders in the drive-thru. Watch and make sure that the drive-thru worker isn't contaminating your food because the cross-contamination could make you and/or your family members sick. This is probably not the first cross-contamination incident. Based on how quickly she grabbed the second burrito with the already contaminated gloves, I know it's happened many times before. It's just that someone noticed this particular time. I encourage Taco Bell to train/retrain their staff about how to avoid cross-contamination. Food ordered at a food establishment that someone is planning to eat should NEVER be touched after credit cards/ money handled and/or after other surfaces are touched while wearing the same gloves. 1-19-23 Every time we go to the location on 69 highway/ 32nd street the lobby is dirty I have to wipe tables/chairs so we can sit down, bathrooms are disgusting and look like they have not been cleaned in a long time. Tonight we went in at 8pm we placed our order on the kiosk as no employees ever come to take your order. We go find a table that I had to clean so we could sit there as all the tables were dirty. My son walks up to the counter and asks for our cups and the cups were dirty so he asks for different ones. My son says they have no sweet tea in the lobby or drive thru and employees said they were not making anymore. The lobby doesnt close for 2 more hours and drive thru even later but yet you won't make more tea for the customers? So we are sitting there waiting on our food for 15 minutes our name was never called, we were the only other people in the lobby other than a woman who already had her food and was eating, one of my kids points out that a bag of food has been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes. So I get up to look behind the counter and no food is being made. One of the guys sees me standing there he comes up and I asked about our order. He says I believe that is your order right there. I said I hope not it has been sitting there for 10 minutes and yall did not even let us know it was ours. A woman on the other side of the line said yes that is yours. I said so now yall just sit food on the counter and not let customers know it's theirs? The guy that helped me first gets rude and said he tried to hand it to my son which he never tried handing my son any food just the clean cups we asked for. So I take the food to our table and start handing it out and surprise surprise we are missing items. Had to get a refund for missing items as we had already waited on food i was not waiting any longer. I told them I was reporting my issues to corporate and the guy thought it was hilarious and laughed at me and walked off. Employees do not care about customer service or quality of food Store is filthy Guaranteed to be missing items from your order. Something seriously needs done with this location. 20230919T155 - I arrived and put my mobile order in at 3:55 PM. I used the restroom which was disgusting, and the toilet paper dispenser was empty, with a roll of toilet paper on the stability bar behind the toilet. The sign that says employees have the extra time to check the restrooms every 30 minutes made me laugh, as this was clearly not happening. The customer area was acceptable, but they need to use more cleaner on the table, as they all had streaks from when they were wiped down, making them look dirty. The screen on one of the self service kiosks is damaged and needs to be replaced. I received my order at 4:00 PM, which is amazingly speedy compared to the Shawnee intersection location. The food looked as good as Taco Bell can after being wrapped, and was delicious. As I've mentioned in my review of the Shawnee location, the Taco Bell app does not let you use multiple rewards in one order if you have them. So I did apologize to the young man that handed me my second Chalupa Supreme, as I had to order it separately for the $1 Chalupa Supreme deal.
